We are lucky to have this company in Casper. They were personable, professional and punctual. We will call them again when we need our Chinney cleaned.

I called Gale's on Wednesday the 20th. That I needed our chimneies cleaned and asked how soon they could come out (it was not a emergency) we set it up for the 22nd.
He was right on time. We talked about what I wanted done. That we had just bought the house back in May 2012. We had tried to light a fire in the down stairs fire place for the first time on Christmas day and the room filled up with smoke and we didn't know why.
1. We have two fire places and there would be two charges if he had to clean both. He would check both of them out before he did anything. Then I could decide what I wanted to do.
2. First thing he did was to go up on the roof. There he found that the down stairs chimney had been sealed off. There was a big rock on top of ply wood that was silcon sealed to the chimney. When he pulled that off he found the chimney stuffed with insulation.
3. He then came inside and inspected both the upstairs and downstairs fire places.
4. We then sat down to talk about what he had found and our options. The fire places didn't need to be cleaned and unless we really wanted the chimney it was a cost that he didn't see that we needed. That everything was in good working order now that he had cleared the chimney. He recommended that we put a cap on the top of the chimney that it would keep birds and other animals out as well as being a spark arrestor when had a fire going. He said that he had a used cap that was stainless steel that he could give us a discount on.
5. We decided to go with what he recommended. He went out and put then cap on it took about 30-45 minutes. Over all he was here about 1 1/2 hours.

Gale Chimney Service was very punctual and professional. He took extra precautions to protect the floor surrounding my stove (from soot) and warned me that where the joints of the pipe are, I might have some soot come out. He then went on the roof and began the chimney sweep. He powered through the sweeping even while getting blasted in the face with the black soot. He then came back in side and cleaned out the soot and ash in my stove: first by hand with a broom and 'dust pan', then he vacuumed the whole stove and area around the stove. He took his snowy boots off outside and wore house shoes (Crocs) to protect my floors every time he came in and out of the house. I could not have a better experience. He is the only certified chimney sweep in Casper and surrounding areas, plus he is $20 cheaper than his non-certified competition.

I needed to have the fireplace and chimney inspected as part of our home buyers inspections. I was referred to Gale Chimney Service by a realtor friend. He inspected the fireplace and cleaned the chimney.. he had everything down to the floor covering. was very respectful, courteous and professional. While he was doing that he noticed a crack in the crown and the owners had him repair it. I have called him since just for advice on the best ways to clean out the fireplace ash, etc.. he is very helpful. HIGHLY recommend.
