 + -1 moreTech inspected our new furnace and said it was never converted from natural gas to propane. He stated the unit was sooted so bad that it could not be repaired. Later the supervisor called saying it would cost $3700 to replace. Meanwhile, the installing contractor, now out of business - Welches heating, came by and installed a hi-altitude kit, (smaller burner orfices) which fixed the problem, AT NO COST!
