It was the hottest week of the summer so far. I had to wait a week to get a new compressor. I was so relieved on the day before, a Monday, because I knew I only had one more night in h***. Then the phone call came. I was bumped until Friday.

Enter Mountain Tech. I talked to them on Tuesday, got a bid on Wednesday and had the system installed on Thursday. And to make it even sweeter, they replaced the whole system for what my original contractor was charging for just the compressor!

Mountain Tech told me that since the system had a leak and the odds were that it was in the the evaporator, I was risking a second replacement call and a charge of coolant if I didn't fix both at the same time. They bid the repair both ways - the compressor for $2000 and the compressor and evaporator for $3400. Hmm... my original contractor - who is highly rated - wanted $3400 just for a compressor.

Who could have asked for more? Peace of mind and a cooler house 24 hours sooner than I expected!

I will only use Mountain Tech for my heating and cooling needs and will recommend them to everyone I know!

Went perfectly. I have used Mountain Tech for the last 10 years to maintain my furnace. Each year they came as scheduled, gave the furnace a thorough cleaning, were professional & very nice to deal with. The last 3 years I had to place service calls as the furnace was wearing out -each time they arrived on schedule & got the furnace up & running. This year the furnace had it's 1st problem the  week before Thanksgiving. As Kevin from Mountain Tech has shown us how to restart the furnace, we got it going again but I decided that it was time to replace the unit-just needed to have reliable heat. Even with the holidays & cold weather & working from long distance, we were able to get it scheduled. A neighbor handled things in West Virginia. Kevin was great in calling me with the estimate after seeing just what materials would be needed & again with details for installation. He also made the calls to my neighbor to schedule a time to make the installation. Everything went smoothly & right on time. I am completely satisfied with the service- the price was very fair, the company is professional & friendly and I certainly recommend Kevin & Mountain Tech for any heating needs. My neighbor was so impressed after meeting Kevin last year that he also has the company for his yearly service.

Our two year old furnace wouldn't stay on on the coldest day in 20 years. It was impossible to get someone to service it that day, but the folks from Mountain Tech Heating and Air Conditioning were out the next day. They corrected the mess that the contractor who installed the furnace made with the intake and flue pipes (which caused ice to form and the system to shut down after one forced cycle from the thermostat).
The work was done quickly and they explained what the problem was, why it was a problem and how they were going to fix it. You can't ask for more than that.
And, at a time when so many people had heating problems, we weren't gouged by the price! That's a company you want to do business with again.

I needed some one to hook up my a/c and Mountainttec came highly recomened by the plumming co. i bought my equipment from. Autman's plumbing told me these boys were verry good and i should give them a try. I had installed the furnace my self as i was a plumber for the County School Board before i retired. when i called mountaintec they were the only ones out of 3 different companys that i called that would come out and hook up my air.I dont have a licens to work on a/c and they were nice enough to respond right away.i would recomend this company to any one. in fact i have done just that and everyone i have recomned Mountaintec to all have been verry satified, and recomended them to their frends.

Billy and Kevin were very professional, very experienced, arrived on time, completed the job in a timely matter, explained everything in detail. They were thorough, considerate, polite, and they stayed to check everything out when the job was completed. They have said if i have any trouble at all to call them and they would come right over...but i have not had a bit of trouble. Many people around the area are now choosing Mountain Tech Heating and Air Conditioning.
