I recently renovated an 8,000 sq. ft. office building. I had Conaway Flooring installed about 650 yds. of carpet. I also had Conaway Flooring install about 1,500 sq. ft. of wood flooring in the lobby area. Conaway Flooring suggested a wood look alike vinyl floor. They felt that it would give the wood look that I wanted and that it was thinner and might reduce a stumble step from the lower level steps ( that landed in the lobby area ). I liked the color and was assured that the quality and prep work would provide a smooth professional look and finish. The installers did Zero prep work. They got glue on my Glass and Stainless offices, but apparently missed some glue on the floor because the floor is lifting in areas. They barley swept the install area ( this was a construction site in its final stages, but there was still a good bit of dust ) which is noticeable by all the bumps ( dirt ) in the flooring. Being a 55 year old building, the floor needed prep work, but none was done as promised. The floor is so bumpy and wavy that you could get sea sick from looking at it. They floor was not rolled after the install and you can even make out the swirl marks where the installers used a trowel to spread the glue around. The carpet install is overall OK, but there are areas where it is coming up also. I originally notified Conaway Flooring of my dissatisfaction in early December 2008. After many calls I finally got someone to come and take look at the fiasco on August 13, 2009 ( quick service ) . I was told that someone would be getting back to me, but here I am two and a half months later and no response from anyone. The renovation of this building encompassed everything from a new roof, parking lot, HVAC system, electrical and plumbing. Basically the building was taken down to the concrete outside walls and rebuilt. A beautiful building from ever aspect, except when you walk in the entrance and look at the absolute mess of a floor in the lobby. Numerous clients that entered the building have asked "what happened to the floor"? We recently had a grand opening and an open house, and unfortunately the main topic of conversation was the lobby flooring. I did make sure that all in attendance knew that Conaway Flooring was responsible.

The experience and outcome were exceptional. The installers were professional and courteous throughout the job. My parents were elated with the outcome!
