He wanted me to put him on my Lowe's card, but I told him no and I'd pay cash for everything. Each time we met at Lowe's he would bring it up. The contract was to pay half for each room he did and when it was finished to pay him the full amount. He didn't finish any of the rooms but I paid him anyway. He was putting the joint compound on and he wanted to sand all the rooms down at the same time. One room he put up panelling and it bowed, he left some panelling down and wires hanging. I went over one day and he had panelling in the back of his truck because it was moldy and was taking it away. I didn't see any mold on it. He kept asking for money but I didn't give it to him because of the contract. He asked me to write a check to his wife's business instead of writing it to him. Toward the end, he was there from May to July, there are only four rooms in the house and he was doing three. He only had the kitchen, a bedroom, and living room to finish. When I asked him about electrical wiring that was missing he started to get upset and said he didn't take it. I had just asked him if he'd picked it up and what he had done with it because someone was coming to do the wiring work. He didn't show up for a couple days, I called, and he wouldn't return my calls. He called my daughter's cell phone and said he couldn't work under these conditions because he wasn't getting paid. I told him he needed to finish the work that he was paid for. I went to the house and my drill was missing and a few other things. He and mentioned I had termites and he was going to have his friend come to exterminate but I didn't want them to do it.
