Dan's Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electrical

The blower assembly had to be ordered. It was installed the next day and has worked since. The problem was the service fees are outrageous and professionalism is lacking. What I thought was going to be a $600 repair turned into an $800+ repair. Service person knew what he was doing as far as the work went but blamed the office staff for the overage in price from what he told me it would be. Said they should have informed me about two service call fees, etc. He offered to have someone call me about financing the repair through Dan's - no thank you, I have a bank for that. Also informed me that they could install a whole new system for approx $8,000. Seriously? Besides not trusting any pricing he thought up, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't use my $800+ repair as a down payment.

During the early part of February, our tankless water heater quit working.  We had this company come out to diagnose the problem.  Their service call is ALMOST DOUBLE what other reputable plumbers would charge.  Shame on me for not asking.  We had also asked  them to descale the tank, but they did not do it.  The parts ordered did not fix the problem and a new water heater was installed by another contractor.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we called to ask about a new furnace installation for later in the spring when the weather breaks.  On Saturday Feb 28th, an individual called my husband to talk about the project.  They wanted to charge us a SERVICE CALL TO COME AND BID ON THE PROJECT.  SERIOUSLY??!!!

Plumber arrive upon expected time clean and even put booties on their shoes to protect my flooring.  Plumber was nice, polite friendly. work was completed efficiently and i was happy with the job.

Went very well the young mans name was Rick he was polite stayed on task work went very smoothly, didn't mind when I add the kitchen sink to the work . All work completed in 4 hours, cleaned up all dust and shaving from cooper and pvc pipe.

Too much to get into, except to say, we were price gauged, furnished our own supplies, for the most part, then were charged for them, plumber, Ed, said he was a plumber, then when other fellow came to install electric to stove vent, he said he was just an apprentice plumber.

He kept taking smoke breaks, talking on cell phone, talking to our other workers, you name it, all on our dime.  We had used Dan's for years, but after this debacle, which my husband and a friend had to reinstall the dishwasher again (after multiple trips from Ed), will never use Dan's Plumbing again!  Let the buyer beware!

Get prices up front from these people, and if you get Ed, write down when he arrives, what he says, what time he leaves, and please also note all the breaks, phone calls, talking to neighbors, etc.

Also took two calls to even get a response. 

They did an excellent job. I was unable to pay for the work in full at the time and he helped me out and let me finance the project. He saved me alot of money with his reccomendations on the units, which work great. He installed a new thermostat free of charge.

During the demolition, an adjoining bedroom was completely covered with dust.  This could have been prevented.
Decisions re some of the details of the project were made and implemented without my approval.
The plumbing itself was satisfactory but all other aspects of the remodel were done poorly, especially the painting.
I would NEVER hire them again nor would I recommend them either.

Terrible, terrible, terrible... I called for an estimate. Guy came out, looked around, said he was told to quote $75 an hour, but he wasn't sure how long it would take. Never gave written estimate. He left without doing any work, without measuring anything, without opening a notebook or toolbox. A week later I received an invoice for $75 for a service call. When I called, woman in office argued that I had requested service, not estimate. Oh, and she also said it couldn't have been an estimate because they don't come out to give estimates for the type of work I need done. I asked twice for the owner to call me. Not a word from the owner. Today I received a collection notice for the invoice.

Their website reads free estimates on equipment. No mention of costs for other estimates. Neither the woman that took the initial call, nor the service tech said anything about a charge for estimates until after the invoice was received.

I recommend that everyone stay far away from this company.

contacted company on 12/20 ,spoke to answering serv,said they would have a plumber call me back within the hour ,was never called
back ,called again on 12/22, plumber called back said he could come over, when plumber got to my residence,he said he was unable to fix my laundry tub faucet because he didnt have the parts ,then told me that he could be back on mon 12/24, never came or called.came out today 12/26 after being here for about a half hour he then said he didnt have the parts, he would have to go get them and would be back in an hour,well 2hours later he comes back and within a half hour has the job done,then i get a bill for 259.70 parts were 70 dollars and labor was 175.00.....well the parts cost them 35.00 but they told me he has to charge me double for them and also have to charge me to go and get them.that was unbelievable how deceptive they were and unprepared.then i found out that i was charged for them coming out on 12/22 when he said he didnt have the parts to fix and would come back...well let me say this the parts in question were 2 shut off valves that could be bought at any local hardware store for 20.00. this company is so unprofessional , unreliable and very deceptive , i would suggest that nobody ever do business with them. overall i paid $175.00 for 1 hour of labor and $70.00 for $20.00 in parts. u be the judge do u think that was fair?
