This man was hired to build a out building. We bought all the materials and he was to provide labor at a cost of $3000.00. We made some changes and agreed on a few hundred additional.
He was to finish in 2 weeks. He didn't show up when he was suppose to and when he did, he would only stay for an hour or 2. There might have been a couple days where he stayed the day but only a couple. It took over 3 months and we had to fire him and finish it ourselves.
He would give us lists of what material he needed and we bought it and delivered it.
He would constantly change the material, saying he needed a different thickness than what he wrote down as an excuse why he wouldn't have something done. Plus he would saw material that was due to be returned and have no explaination.
He sawed up our trim (Expensive) to wrong sizes, put it up then take it down.
We had lumber and rolls of electrical wiring missing from the locked site.
He would move doorways once installed and we had to explain to leave them alone, that's where we wanted the door and it would cost us hundreds more in materials if he moved it.
He took out all of the blanks in the breaker panel and left them open. We had to then purchase blanks to put in the spots so the building inspector would pass it. The building inspector requested his electrical license but at the time we parted company had never produced them. These are just a few things listed but were many more.
This was a long time ago but wanted to provide my experience.

Mr. Cicalese arrived early, and I walked him through what needed to be done. He noticed the kitchen faucet hadn't been installed correctly and made that right. He made sure the window shades were perfectly even. Last, he took on the challenge of putting the patio screen back on, after I walked into it and knocked it right off the tracks just a few days after it was installed.
I couldn't be more pleased with his work. He asked questions when he had them and explained repairs to me. It is very hard at times to find someone to do "little things" around the house. Contractors don't want to do that, and handymen are getting harder to find. I believe I've found a good one.

I already had the AC unit. He brought his brother with him to install the unit. Took them 2 days. He was not punctual. He would drop his brother off and leave for hours. He rigged up some type of duct work to cool the upstairs through a bedroom closet. He left holes in the floor big enough for a cat to crawl through. This year I had to have a the duct work replaced. They had installed the AC cooler upside down which caused water build up under the house.

He has done numerous things for us, and he is pretty good. You name it and he can do it. He has always done an excellent job. The only bad thing about him is that he is just not so punctual. If he says that he will be there at around 11 o’ clock, it is probably going to be more like 12 o’ clock, but when he gets there, he goes straight to work. He works and doesn’t stop, and he does a good job. We had a water main that busted at one of our rentals and he came right out there. He knew it was an emergency and he came right out and fixed it. He does a little of everything, and we use him for everything. He is professional.
