This is my second positive experience with this company. I will definitely call them every time I need plumbing work. Professional and friendly workers and reasonable prices.

Went great.  I was in the middle of fixing this myself when I developed a 102 fever and the flu.  My wife wouldn't let me go to home depot to pick up a few things I needed to fix it and with the water shut off valve not working and the water to the entire house off, I called Robinson and Sons to get me out of the mess I was in.  It was Superbowl Sunday to beat all.  The gentleman who came out arrived promptly and did great work.  He was extra quiet to keep from waking my sleeping children.  He even took out certain parts to his truck in the dark cold weather to do a lot of the loud work outside.  He was quick and courteous and even wore shoe coverings on our carpet.  I highly recommend this company.  The price was high only due to this being a Sunday call out.  Otherwise the pricing was fair in my opinion.

The plumber showed up exactly on time.  He called first to say he was on the way.  Very punctual.  The young man asked what needed to be done and asked that I show him the areas that need work done.  Immediately after understanding what I needed done he started to work.  He did not waste a minute.  His name is Jon.  I would recommend Jon to anyone!  What a work horse!  He installed both faucet and commode in exceptional time.

He then made sure of no leaks and presented me with the bill.  He cleaned up and made sure I was 100% satisfied!  I would for sure recommend him to all of my family members.  My only hope is the next time I need Robinson and Sons they send Mr. Jon out to do the work!  Thank you Jon!  Good job!!!!!

Jim

Hours billed 2-1/2 On a job that a handyman could have done in 45 Min.

Said other maintenance tweaks should be made ,but they  did not have the simple supplies to do it. I am glad they didn't...cost was already unbelievably high and the workers were not hardly up to the initial required task.

$90.00 per hour labor........Distance of job from the plumbers location...Approx. 3 miles

I had to leave a message on an on call pager since it was a Saturday. He returned my call within 5 min and came to my house approx. 45 min later. He was very nice and knowlegable. It took him 2.5 hrs to unclog the kitchen sink. He wore covers over his boots so he wouldn't get dirt in my house. My plumbing in the kitchen was kind of difficult to work with so he ended up going under my house. The clog apparently was in the pipe up on my roof. I didn't know the pipes went up there. That didn't make any sense to me but he had seen it before and knew just what to do. I was charged a fee for just him showing up which was 95.00. He then charged $125.00 for every hr he was there. It ended up being $365.70 total which I thought was a little much for unclogging a sink. Other than the steep price the sink works great and I would call them again. At least I know the job will be done right.

They were able to come out the same day. Work done in a hour. Had both the hot and cold valves replaced even though only one failed. Very professional and courteous. They knew what they were doing and didn't waste time. They went to get the parts and brought back two options. One was more costly and required some additional work in order to use ball valves instead of the existing gate valves (I had specifically asked for ball valves if possible). Just went with the gate valves since it was going to cost more. They took back the other parts themselves, no additional charge.
They have a $10 "truck" fee charge for coming out. This is a one-time charge. Not a big deal, as other places have something similar as well.
They were the only ones that could come out the same day I contacted them, everyone else was the next day at the earliest (though it probably helped that I lived less than a mile from their office).
My only issue is that they charge $90 per hour for one person, $120 for two people. Was not a two man job, but two came out. Their website had a 20% discount listed if you mentioned it to them. So, it was $150 total after the 20% discount. Since it was only an hour of work, it really didn't matter who I had come out as the cost was going to be at or above $100 regardless. Absent the %20 discount, I would have given cost a C.

The worker who came from Robinson and Son Plumbing was real good, but his supervisor was gone most of the time they were here or he was on his cell phone. I wasn't very happy with him. The younger worker was working up a storm, though. I think they were on time. They said if we needed anything in the future, they would do it at no cost, but we never called them back. I would not use them again.
