MOUNTAINEER PAVING & SEALING

I hired Mountaineer Paving to remove my old driveway and replace it with new asphalt. They completed the job Aug. 6, 2018. They left a very soft spot that started to crack before they left, and they left large ridges in the new driveway from the roller. I spoke to Chasen Thomas and to Fred about these before they left my home. Both told me to let the asphalt settle and cool and if the cracks were still thereafter a week, they'd come back and "sand them." They said since they'd already loaded up the roller they'd fix the ridges when they returned to sand the cracked spot. I paid them in full. Twice. The first time I gave Chasen a check for $4700 made out to Mountaineer Paving. He gave it to Fred, then Fred came back asked that I write anew check payable to Fred. RED FLAG THERE!! I did it anyway. Since then, they have not come back. I spoke to Scott, the owner about two weeks after they did the job - Scott was paving a local hotel - and said he'd send someone by "soon." He never did. I field a complaint with the BBB and on Oct. 23, 2018 Chase emailed me saying "we would like to resolve this matter ASAP" and "We are sorry about your experience with us and we will do everything we can to make it right. " I have sent multiple emails and tried called Chasen's number that he provided me as well as Scott's number. No one will return my emails nor my phone calls. Scott Thomas and Chasen Thomas do NOT stand behind their product and do NOT honor their warranty. DO NOT HIRE MOUNTAINEER PAVING
