I have only had two visits but I am a firm believer in healing from within and I am glad I chose Dr. Heather McCarter. I came in with neck, back, hip, shoulder, and jaw pain and we immediately got to all of my health history. Dr. McCarter was very thorough about my lifestyle from medications, daily activity, to daily stressers. The first visit I had a quick adjustment which addressed the main areas of concern and we discussed our plan of attack for the healing process. My second visit included muscle stimulation with a TENS unit(Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) which is nice and relaxing, and then she did a little deeper adjustment on my problem areas. The environment of McCarter Chiropractic is calm and inviting.

In and out in 20 minutes or so and we feel that improvement had been made in the pain in her knees. They were honest and warned that this treatment may or may not be effective but that we would know within a few treatments.

I made an appointment because I had met her and also because a trusted friend was her patient. The office was very helpful in scheduling an appointment very quickly. She explain and demonstrated with models what was the problem involving my spine. After the first treatment, there was a noticeable reduction in pain. Her instructions for home treatments were clearly given and helpful. The pain has continued to decrease after a few weeks and about four treatments until it is virtually gone. She is very easy to talk with, personable, and has a optimistic attitude and good sense of humor.
