The Exotic Jungle

I like to deal with the owner, Emily when I visit the store.  However, her staff is quite knowledgeable as well.  Emily cares about the quality of animal she sells.  She goes to great lengths ensuring they are healthy BEFORE she will let them go out the door to live in our home.  We now have a Bearded Dragon, two parakeets and two hamsters in our home.  We have had the Dragon for over a year and he is happy, healthy and the best pet we ever had!  Funny story:  my kids love Emily so much, we named a parakeet after her and called it Emmy.  Then we figured out how to tell a male parakeet from a female one.  Had to change it's name to Emmett!  ;-)   He is still also going strong after about a year of being with us.  The parakeet we bought for him as company, from a name brand store, died within a few months of purchase.  So we went back to Emily and got him a friend, Sapphire, who is still healthy after 6 months.  I won't do that again!  All pets will come from Exotic Jungle from now on!
Emily sells just about every kind of pet one can think of and she does not buy from distant, unknown breeders.  She likes to see the environment in which the animals were born and have lived before she gets them.  Unlike some of the National name brand stores, she is very conscientious about delivering well-kept pets to her clients.  She also is quite knowledgable about each species and will offer an information sheet written in 'rooky' language to help ensure the pets get what they need from you.  If we have a question, we just stop in or give a call to her.  I really feel like she cares how the pets do in my home, after the sale. 
One thing I see in her store that I have never noticed in any 'chain' store - there are animals walking around and in cages that are not for sale!  They are part of the Exotic Jungle family and they live there in the best possible environment.  You will be greeted by a large bird that says HELLO to everyone!  Also, a few kitties will be walking around for your petting pleasure.  There are reptiles marked as family - Not For Sale, as well.  It is the same animals I have been seeing there for over a year.   Does that not say it all!
