Mattress Warehouse

I recently purchased a mattress from Mattress Warehouse, in Fairmont, WV. They had a decent selection, pretty good prices, and the sales people were very friendly. My problems started when I ordered a mattress and adjustable bed. The problems I had were as follows: a) The mattress I ordered was marked as Firm in the store, but Cushion Firm on the receipt. Noticing the difference caused me to miss work to drive to the store, to make sure that the proper bed bad been ordered. I was not able to resolve this over the phone, but when I arrived, the salesperson noticed the mistake. b) My receipt had the wrong price for the bed and adjustable foundation. The bed is returnable, while the foundation is not. I suspect this is to give you less trade in value, if you want to exchange mattresses. When the frame wouldn't fit, the price on the mattress was "fixed", so I got less for the frame, and the price of the mattress went back up. c) The delivery people were about an hour late, after the two hour window had expired. d) The salesperson told me that the delivery people could disassemble the adjustable frames to get them though narrow corridors. When the frame arrived, and would not fit, I was told this was untrue. They could not disassemble them, so I would have to order split queen adjustable foundations, which were over $1,000 dollars than what I initially purchased. e) I had to make yet another trip to the store to order the new split queen foundation. I ordered this on 8/28/2016 and needed a weekend delivery, so this was scheduled for 9/10/2016. This was almost two weeks to get the bed in and have it delivered! Less than 24 hours before my scheduled delivery time, I received a call from Mattress Warehouse, and told that the mattress hadn't came in yet, and the deliver would have to be rescheduled for after 9/14/2016. The salesperson was apologetic, but after all of the hassle, I should have been offered something more than empty words. f) After receiving my feedback to the company, the salesperson called me and offered me free pillows or a mattress protector. I already had both, and said that since so much of my time had been/will be wasted, that additional money off is all that would make me feel better. He said he would check with his district manager and get back to me. I did not hear back regarding this. g) The second set of delivery people arrived within the two hour delivery window. They called about fifteen minutes prior to arrival, to let me know they were on their way. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. They definitely did a great job. Though Mattress Warehouse did have decent prices, I would rather go through a more professional outfit, and pay a little higher prices. Time is money, and Mattress Warehouse has wasted a lot of my time.
