Hughart's Supply Co

About us

Hughart's Supply Inc. has been in business since 1930. It was started by Marvin Hughart and was primarily a feed/hardware store. He sold the business to Ralph Schlobohm in 1976. Ralph expanded the business into a plumbing, heating store. He also opened two other locations. The second store opened in Sabraton in 1985. The third store opened in Star City in 1990. In 1997, Ralph's son Gary took control of the business. He has been with Hughart's since 1977. Gary along with his highly experienced mangers, sales staff and Fixzit Man technicians continue to service the Morgantown and surrounding areas. Their experience and expertise in plumbing, heating and air conditioning is second to none.

Work was done promptly and very professionally. They cleaned up after themselves very thoroughly, too!

Excellent. Timely. Efficient. Professional. They also replaced a faucet in the basement tub sink. When it had a very small drip, they came immediately and fixed it. In the process, we also found a stuck valve, and got that replaced on the spot. I WILL use Hugharts again!

Every job we have hired them for has gone very well. I have a home built in 1968 so it needs some repairs (we haven't had anything major done) and they have always done an excellent job with a very high quality of work.

I had a horrible experience with this plumber. They came out and charged me $200 to fix a dripping faucet. I wouldn't mind that much, but $80 of it was from the plumber going to two different stores to try to find the part. I would have thought he could have called before hand to see if they had the part. To add insult onto injury, the very next day, my hot water heater sprung a leak and damaged my basement floor. I haven't had any plumbing issues for 5 years, and the day after they "fixed" my leak, I had my hot water heater break. They said that the two issues were completely unrelated, but I find the odds of that very low. In any case, they were going to charge me $1500 to replace the hot water heater, so I decided to go with another plumber, and I'm hoping I will have much better luck. I want to write a review of this company on BBB.org, but they are not listed on BBB. I would avoid this company at all costs, they will overcharge you and break things and overcharge you for the next repair.

Our contractor did not put a trap on the kitchen sink in our house, presumably because the garbage disposal could serve as one.  As a result, our kitchen reeked.
I called Hughart's on Friday, January 24.  Was told by the scheduler that they would be able to come by on Tuesday, January 27. Travis, the plumber, called me a little later on the 24th and said that he had time to come by and take a look that day.  Travis and James came by minutes later.  We saw that we probably wouldn't have room to place a trap under the sink in the cabinet, so James had the idea to place one in the basement where the pipe ran between the floor joists.  They weren't able to complete the work that day because of time, but they did not charge me for the service call.  I like the fact that they were able to troubleshoot and come up with a solution instead of going the trial-and-error route.
Travis and James showed up early on the 27th to complete the work, which took them all of maybe 30 minutes.  On both visits, they were extremely professional -- courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable.  I will definitely call them for any other issue in the future

Our previous faucet was hard-piped in. The plumber and his helper had to cut out a portion of copper pipe to install turn off valves and connectors for the new faucet.  Job took about an hour.

I feel the repairman should have called when they were late.  Price seemed high for the work but not approve the estimate.  The problem is fixed which is the most important thing.  I would hire them again.

Installers came out after I removed the old toilet and discovered the old flange had virtually disintegrated.  They placed a new ring around the flange and mounted the new toilet with all the hardware.   They were done really fast.  Showed up the next day after my call as well.  Little pricey, but friendly helpful guys.

The team was really helpful and efficient. They helped find the place in the water line that was leaking underground and dug it up and repaired it.
