Chris and his highly professional crew were a pleasure to work with during my retaining wall project. Chris worked me into his schedule and communicated promptly and effectively on all matters. That was appreciated! I probably drove him and his crew crazy with all of my questions during the project, but they answered them patiently and politely. The price was very reasonable, the quality of the work was excellent, and very importantly, they cleaned up thoroughly each evening. Chris runs his business like it should be; serve the customer in all matters! I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so and would not hesitate to use him again.

The grass grew. My yard actually looks decent. Why I liked it this time is because it worked. Some of that can be because of the weather. They seeded too late in the summer and it was too hot and it didn't grow and it grew in the fall. I didn't have to pay them any more money, it was included in the first time.

They could have just been a little bit more prompt, better communicating when they were actually coming. I feel like I had to kind of nag them a little bit to come. They were supposed to seed my yard in May, but due to weather constraints they didn't come out till June and then it was too hot, so the grass didn't really grow, so they had to come back and reseed. So, part of it was weather based.

Chris Halterman is easy to work with and has a happy, professional, and hardworking crew. They delivered on time and under budget, and kept me informed about the project as it progressed. Definitely recommend these guys and will use them again!

Mr. Halterman is very professional and communicates well regarding anticipated on-site dates. Provided a computer diagram of his ideas so we could better visualize the finished product before committing. Very nice work, greatly improved the appearance of our home. Price was good for the amount of work needed. Will hire again if similar work is needed.

Chris Halterman runs his company with standards that I thought were long lost on contractors, namely absolute integrity regarding proposed solutions and strict fairness in pricing. Those standards, combined with a college trained staff, eye for detail, professionally trained designers, and world-class/personalized customer service has resulted in me wanting to recommend him to all of my friends. Doing literally whatever it takes to ensure his clients are honestly satisfied and going above and beyond what you hire him for sets Chris apart from the competition. Schedule well in advance though as his services are highly sought after for both residential and commercial projects, although he moved mountains to squeeze us into the schedule this year. It is refreshing to finally work with someone you simply know will provide services as if it were their own property! I only wish I could write more of these type of reviews.

I was looking to freshen up our curb appeal and had the good fortune to engage Halterman Landscape Design to remove, design and execute their proposed plan at our home in Suncrest.  This experience is by far one of the best experiences I?ve had with home improvement. 
Chris Halterman and his staff were patient and extremely knowledgeable about what they do.  He was forthcoming with the truth, upfront and straight forward with his approach and made me feel that my satisfaction was paramount!  I immediately liked Chris and grew to trust him during the course of this experience. Because of this, it allowed us to focus on the job and enabled the remainder of our relationship to go smoothly.
Chris and Wes made a full assessment of the job noticing certain conditions of which I was not aware.  As a consequence, they were able to provide me with solutions and a proposal that was comprehensive allowing me to evaluate when and how much I wished to do.  What a team!

Chris was totally professional, listening to our needs and suggesting ideas. He and his right-hand-man, Wes, are great. The "crew" worked hard (it was so hot!), showed up daily, cleaned any mess made, and were cheerful and polite. Although Chris is busy running his landscaping business, he was always available to us whenever we needed him, but often was there to work alongside his crew. Everything looks great!

Chris & Company did an OUTSTANDING job for my parents! Their prices are competitive and their work is excellent! My parents have a fairly sizable lawn and garden area at their Morgantown home, and they've been unable to properly care for it for some time. Halterman Landscaping came in and cleaned up everything we asked; they mowed the lawn and pulled all the weeds and debris that accumulated over the years; and they added the necessary mulch around the garden area that didn't cost an arm and a leg. They also checked up on my elderly parents regularly during the wintertime and shoveled the steps and driveway as needed. I never had to ask: they just knew what and when my parents needed help and then did a great job. 
I would highly recommend Halterman Landscaping to anyone who wants a superb landscaping job at a competitive price! By far the best landscapers we've ever used in Morgantown, bar none.

They were very professional and efficient, and the outcome is very attractive. They came back to fix a minor issue with our fence very expeditiously. They reseeded the parts of the yard that were torn up by the construction. I'm very happy with their work.

Chris Halterman and his crew were completely reliable, conscientious, professional, pleasant, and efficient. They completed the work how and when they said they would. They cleaned everything up behind them. They were concerned to get the results that I wanted. They were easy to communicate with. Chris charged only for the man-hours of labor needed to complete the work. Everything went according to the estimate. The cost seemed reasonable compared to other landscaping work I've had done, but I don't have a lot of basis for comparison. They were excellent. They made the process easy and enjoyable. I would recommend them to anyone, and I would contract with them again for future work.
