Dan and the other 2 professionals sent to our home by the owner of the company, Brian Miller, displayed the utmost in knowledge, experience, and professionalism. If you are looking for a company that will take shortcuts, and sacrifice quality to save a few dollars, DO NOT call Miller's! They use superior materials, and will take the time needed to do the job the right way, the first time! I am so glad we checked Angie?s List before making our decision. Thanks to them, we made the best choice the first time!

Simply put, Brian Miller is the best contractor we have ever worked with--either in West Virginia or any other state we have lived in. It actually took a year to find Brian while we went through six other contractors who were less than satisfactory for different reasons. During our year long search, one contractor left our house for Home Depot and never returned and one highly rated contractor would only estimate the job through pictures and a visit from their sales representative (a process which  took two frustrating months). In contrast, Brian spent about 20 hours with us planning the project. We initially talked about replacing the deck and patio under it, but the house had been neglected for years and the previous owner had done a lot of work that wasn't up to code. As a result, work on the deck--and only the deck--could have caused significant damage to our kitchen (which was on top of an enclosure that lacked proper footers). Brian brought out a structural engineer on several occasions and they designed a fix that was easily accepted by the County permitting office and also allowed him to create a beautiful pattern with the wood deck. The demolition actually began the first week of January and the weeks got progressively colder. Brian's team worked at an incredible speed in brutally cold weather. Brian was meticulous in measuring and laying out the footers and deck flooring--working all day in weather that left us frozen after a half hour. During the permitting process, the county said we had to replace our septic system to bring it up to code. Brian actually contacted someone to do the job in two weeks from start to finish--so it didn't impact the rest of the scheduled work at our house. After finishing the deck, the team created a beautiful paver patio underneath it. All the work was beautifully done--even the cinder block and framing under the kitchen--which isn't visible outside the house. The team also replaced rotting wood along the bottom of the house with cinder block and proper outside wood and then replaced siding on that portion of the house, choosing siding that matched the rest of the house. Brian and his team truly took the house from neighborhood eyesore to neighborhood gem. All the neighbors have told us how nice the house looks. Interestingly, everyone has also remarked on how hard the team worked, noting that they never saw them hanging around--rather they worked all day. We are already talking to Brian about another project and highly recommend him.

Brian's work is a perfect example of professionalism! After we had shown him a rough draft of what we wanted he returned with a drawing of what we wanted. He went over EVERY detail and made sure we understood his interpitation of our requirements. We knew every stage of the construction. His goal was our happiness and one year plus we still love the sunroom. He used quality materials and the craftmanship was no doubt the best in the area!

It would be no exageration to say Miller's Residential Creations went above and beyond to do a great job.

Brian Miller (president of the company) worked directly with us from the beginning to ensure he understood our needs as well as desires. He presented several options for deck construction, providing valuable insight and recommendations that prevented potential errors on our part. His focus is definitely on the customer. His perspective is that, and quot;I don't want to see one of my customers a year from now and have them turn their heads because they don't want to see me or speak with me. I want to remain on good terms with all of my customers, which means I'll do whatever I can reasonably do to make sure they're happy with the work we do before we leave the job site.and quot; That's exactly how we felt once the deck was completed. He also prepared a contract that was very clear, which protects both the contractor and the customer - that's good business. Brian and his crew were about as responsive as I've ever experienced. My wife is a former contracting officer, and I was a senior project manager for an organization that managed a pool of contractors, so I speak from a good bit of experience. Everyone on his crew was very professional, always on time, and keeps us apprised of any schedule changes. We had several builders bid on this project and, while Miller Residential was not the lowest bid, there's no doubt they were the best bid. We would definitely consider Miller Residential for future work.

This is the second job Brian has done for us. He and his crew do excellent work. Last year he built a deck and hardscape that turned out beautifully. The window and siding job he did this year is beautiful and of the highest quality.
The most important quality for a contractor is that he does what he promises within the scheduled time and budget. We can always rely on Brian to keep his promises. The quality of the work is top notch. Brian also spent a lot of time helping us decide what types of windows to get and helped us make decisions for colors and types of siding. He will spend a lot of time helping a customer choose products to be used in a particular job.
I would not hesitate to recommend Miller's Residential Creations to anyone who needs a quality contractor.

I would say their price is fair. I like the quality, workmanship, professionalism, and they are thorough. Brian Miller, the owner, comes in, sits down with you, asks you what you want and makes sure he prepares for what you want. He goes above and beyond what would normally be expected. That's probably the best way. He's a gentleman and he's very honest. His mechanics are professional. I can't say enough about them. They're gentlemen and they do very good work.
