Hertz Car Rental

After a train ride to Philadelphia, we decided to rent a car for the trip home.  Hertz in Philadelphia told us that the Hertz Office in Martinsburg was not open and scheduled us for a two-day rental to return the car on Monday morning.  We only used the car for six hours so called the corporate number on the website who informed us that although there was a key box they were not considered an after-hours location and they could not help us; however, we called the local number and left a message.  When we went to thesite to return the car this morning he had contacted the main office and made arrangements to only charge us until the time of our call on Saturday evening - which was still 24 hours but that is the policy of all car rental companies - a one day rental is for a 24 hour rental.  We also rented a car from this same person and office when our car was being repaired about a year ago and experienced the same customer service.  They delivered the car and also offered to pick it up but we dropped it off because we were going by the building that day.  Our daughter rented a car from them when she was home for a visit several months ago and also commented on their professional and efficient way of providing customer service and responding to their requests.  I would recommend them to anyone.  The only draw-back is the fact that they do not have an after-hours drop off so unless you rented the car from them to be returned to them and make prior arrangements,  you couldl possibly run into a problem trying to return the car after noon time on Saturday until Monday morning.
