"Customer forgot to mention that they not only hired us to do more work on multiple occasions and requested the same installed but also contracted that same installer outside of Carpet World. Not to mention that when the money came up missing, they chose to work it out with the installer and not contact Carpet World. Carpet World is not sure about the personal relationship between the customer and the installer, but when this matter was brought to our attention, we had no choice but to let the installer go. Carpet World has been in business 40 years because of our great pricing and service. Unfortunately as we continue to grow and hire new people, We may occasionally hire a bad installers / employee. Carpet World would not continue to employ them and they now likely work for our competitors. Rest assured, our goal has never changed and we strive for 100% satisfaction."
There were a few paint places that needed to be touched up on the wall after the new installation, but nothing bad. They worked through the day until the job was completed. We were very pleased with their work and our new carpet. We would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to get quality carpet and installers.
A great experience and I plan on using this company again on another renovation project.
I had three or four guys working at all times and they were so polite and respectful of my home. They always took the time to clean up and leave their workspaces clean each night. They had no problem going the extra mile to do the job right even though it was at the company expense and I wouldn't have known the difference anyway.
The installation laborers were a different story. They left damages in most rooms of the house. Some areas more aggregous than others. Each day we would have to repair little things they should of been careful with. In one area near a closet they pounded so h****** the floor a glass light fixture fell and crashed into a million pieces. Accidents happen but when my wife asked what happened they said the fixture must of been loose and walked away from the area!!!. My wife got on her hands and knees and cleaned up the broken glass. None of them offered to help her clean it up!!!! They were careless moving furniture. We did not give them any tip and thats ashame because the job was good but was over shadowed by attitude and we dont tip for attitude. The next day we had to call back in a painting contractor to touch up the new paint job they damaged. I never complained hoping that the carpet company would call with a follow up. The manager did call and we shared our concerns. We would use them again but we wont be remiss the next time in asking questions up front about the team of installers that would be sent out on the job and demanding our expectations be met. I would use them again because the deal was good, the manager was great but would demand a better crew.
Within the week, Carpet World came out to the house to measure the rooms. They brought carpet samples and talked about how we would like to divide the room between the carpet and tile. We then stopped in the show room later that week to make the final tile and carpet selections.
Scheduling has proven to be the most difficult part of our transaction, due in part to the fact that we were unavailable for two weeks in April. Carpet World was able to lay the tile prior to us leaving, and the tile looks superb. The carpet installation did not happen until April 19, though that was partially due to our scheduling.
However, we are still waiting for installation of one of the reducer strips from the tile to our hardwood in the living room and the vinyl flooring in our bathroom. They delayed taking the measurements for those strips several times, and then never contacted us once the strips were made; it wasn't until we contacted them around May 13 that we were able to schedule a time for the strips to be installed. He came on May 18 to install the strips, but after he left, we noticed that one of them barely covers the transition from the new tile to our hardwood floors. As a result, we asked that they bring a different strip and stopped by their show room to select a new strip. As of today, June 3, we are still waiting for this final piece to be completed.
