Agree with other reviews. High pressure sales tactics. You think you are getting a great bargain. But the fact is the meat is not that good. The steaks are decent from what I bought but I was not impressed with the pork flatiron steaks, the bacon wrapped medallions or the country ribs. Also note that the packaging is not great. Much of the meat has ice crystals even though it is supposedly sealed. And when I defrosted some things I realized it was leaking juice into the fridge which means the package was not sealed. Not worth it.

I called because they have a policy that states for one year, they will replace anything questionable or meat that looks bad. This was two weeks ago and I have not heard anything back from them since. The technique of high pressure sales is very unprofessional in my opinion. There were two salesmen that kept putting pressure on me, and by the end of it, I felt almost silly if I didn't take the offer, and agreed to purchase the steak just to get them out of my garage.

Purchased a freezer that came with a substantial package of frozen meats and the freezer died less than 9 months after it was installed. I placed numerous calls to the company and on several occasions was told they would replace the freezer. It has been 3 months and they now say they wash their hands of trying to replace the freezer and that I need to deal with the freezer manufacturer directly, even though they purchased the freezer and did not provide us with the option of purchasing an extended warranty.

1. Do not buy any products from a truck that just 'happens' to be in your neighborhood
2. Ask neighbors if they have any experience with the company
3. Do not accept any items that require freezer storage 
4. Think it through, can you get the same or better quality and price at a brick and mortar store?
5. What is the return policy? Is there one

Only 20% of the meat was worth barbecuing.  The rest was cubed and left to cook for hours in a slow cooker.

They never followed up to find out if we were satisfied, needed more product, or anything else.  Hit and run ! 

I was pulling into my driveway and a truck pulled up marked "Capital Meats".  Bryant was selling frozen meats and seafood and was ready to negotiate.  I have never bought anything off a truck and will never again.  I was having a BBQ the next day, thought  the shrimp would be a good idea, and decided to take a chance.  I purchased 2 boxes of cooked shrimp, 2 boxes of uncooked shrimp and 2 boxes of Tilapia.  After opening the boxes I realized I had been taken.  It was way overpriced!!  I defrosted the cooked shrimp and it was TERRIBLE!!!  The box read "peeled" but the shell was still on it.  The texture was soft and mushy; and it had a strange taste.  I threw the box away along with the other box of cooked shrimp.  I have not tried the uncooked shrimp nor the Tilapia yet; and will probably just throw them away as well.  I will never buy anything from "Capital Meats" again and I will not purchase anything off a truck in the future. 

They came to my door selling frozen beef, chicken, and seafood.  He told me it was grass fed beef, which I later discovered it was not. My husband decided to buy the beef. We have both been very disappointed with the quality of the beef. Some of the cuts are ok (the filets are pretty good), but most of them are low quality. The burgers are inedible.  And some of the individually wrapped pieces seem to be leaking as I defrost them. Would not buy from them again.

They provided a great quality product without being too pushy, and they were flexible in what they offered.
