Horrible. First phone call was told my compressor ordered. 3 more phone calls to check status of compressor. Was told would get call back. Never did. Drove to business. Was told nothing could be ordered until I signed a form. Why didn't they call me and tell me I needed sign a form. Another month without AC?.

this tech couldnt provide any information of the questions i had. he told me the prob. were bearrings but couldnt explain anything to me - my home and unit is only 3 yrs. old. he said hes been doing this for yrs. but gave me an est of 500-1200.00 for a new motor. i thought thats a pretty bad guestimate. if he was a tech he should know why the bearrings go bad and explain that to me. he should also know how can they go bad after 3 yrs., he should know the price of a motor if hes ever installed one. basically the conversation started bad bc he was unprofessional.. never use them again - all for 93.00 .. rip off!

Of the 6 companies we contacted, 3 never responded, 3 visited the site and provided estimates. Of the 3 estimates, one was mailed, two were provided via email. Shenandoah was by far the most professional and they provided the best, most comprehensive estimate. We will be using them in the future, for sure!

When I contracted with this company to have a ductless HVAC installed in a new two story addition of our rental home, I was pleased with the interactions with the sales person, the overall ease of doing the process long distance and the timely install date. The price was a little higher than I had expected but I didn't have a lot of other options so shopping around was not an option. The units got installed on schedule and we were very pleased with the units and the quality of the heating and cooling. However, the placement of the unit in the lower level obstructed the staircase going to the upper level addition. The steps were built when the units were installed, in fact the workers stood on the steps when installing the unit. Since this placement was a safety hazard for anyone using the stairs (and not in accordance with building codes, I'm sure) I contacted the company about having the unit moved and the wall repaired at no cost to us. The companies initial response was to refuse to move the units at no cost and they would not repair the wall. After several emails back and forth to the company over a couple of weeks they finally agreed to move the units at no cost but only after I offered to have for the wall repaired by someone else. The installation date for the unit move was set and I traveled 8 hours to make sure I was present when the unit was moved so its placements was satisfactory to us. Fortunately the move went fine and it no longer blocks the stair case at all. Generally I was stunned that this company took an adversarial stance to having to correct the incorrect placement of the unit even after I was able to dispute each of their claims on why the units were placed as it was. My recommendation to anyone using this company is to be present at the installation, if possible. Unfortunately for us, this was not an option.

It was unfortunate that the indoor supply on the first floor ended up being a hazard to the steps, but we always want our customers to be happy with their comfort and our service and communication "after the sale". We are unable to do drywall, as it states in ALL job proposals, because we do not employ drywall professionals and we never want to put our technicians (or customers) in the position to try to do specialties that we are not equipped for. That way, they can concentrate on our service specialty, which is making our customers COMFORTABLE! I am happy we were able to come to a resolution that is satisfactory for both parties. What a sham business! Comes out for a $100 diagnostic and never hear from them again. When we call to inquire, they simply state "I don't know. It was the technician who made the call." When we call Technician, he never answers his phone or returns call. I suppose Shenandoah is now a quick money-making scheme- collect a quick $100 and run. Very disappointed and angry and $100 poorer.

I have looked into this situation and found that we did not actually INSTALL this Mitsubishi system originally and another company that you had look at it could not help you-as it was supposed to be covered under warranty- which is when you then called us. We were in the process of trying to get the part you needed covered, since we did NOT do the installation, when you called our office on a Friday evening after 4 looking for answers. Unfortunately, the "after hours" technician on call for the weekend was not familiar with your situation and needed to obtain further information in order to get answers, but this was a Friday afternoon and we can't contact the mfr business office after office hours. When he returned your call Friday, you had already decided that you were not happy and requested we do not do anything further. I know this can be frustrating, but please understand that when it is not OUR installation/equipment it sometimes makes it difficult to process warranty coverages. We wish you the best in the future, and hope that you find a resolution for your system. Thank you"

Bought a house here about 2 1/2 years ago which is heated by a heat pump which means it is not really ideal for this climate in the winter. Shenandoah has just done an excellent job in servicing, providing advice, and following up on loose ends. This is a real first class outfit. Run right. They understand the term "customer service."

So thankful for these guys. My outdoor unit stopped working on Saturday afternoon on a 91 degree day. I was panicked and didn't know who to call, so I went onto Angie's list and called Shenandoah heating and air. They were in and answered my call, no answering machine. The front desk person was a little rude, but Travis called back around an hour later and came directly over, fixed the problem, and left me one happy camper with the ac running. From this point on, these are my go to peeps for my hearing and air!

Shenandoah Air Cond & Heating has repaired our furnace. installed and serviced a whole house humidifier and installed a new furnace. We have always found them to be prompt, reliable, friendly and reasonably priced. No complaints whatsoever. If I could single out one employee for special kudos, it would be the head service technician, Chuck. Great guy who REALL knows his stuff.
