Mr Electric

On 02-02-2006 Mr. Chris Hutchinson,from mrelectric,in Huntington, Wv. came to my house to do some electrical work.I have an old style fuse box outside my house.I wanted a circuit breaker box inside the house.Mr. Hutchinson quoted me a price of $1559.75. That included all the material. I agreed,and he started the work. At the end of the day,he said he had done all the work that we agreed to. I paid him the agreed price. As he was leaving I tried the bathroom light. This is a light ,fan combo. It made a loud cracking sound. It had been working good before he started the job.He claimed it was the fan causing the trouble. He said he could fix it for another $300.00. He also stated he would move the off/on switch. He removed the ceiling fan. He never moved the off/on switch.I had to have that fix myself. It was dark when he left my house. The next day I checked outside,where,where he had been working. There was a lot of shoddy work. Wire hanging down ,one fuse box still outside. I called his office,and Mr. Hutchinson did come back to my house.He did correct everything outside but the fuse box. That was part of the quote in the price to move/or replace the fuse box. As for the bath room wiring,he did not repair the off/on switch. He still claimed the fan caused the problem,in the bath room. As a matter of fact I did install the same fan,he said was faulty,and its working good til this day. All I could see done in the bath room,was to install a .95 cent junction box. He probably spent less than an hour in the bathroom. I firmly believe I have been ripped off. This has been a while back when this happened,but it might help some one looking to do electrical work,to look real close at Mr. Electric in Huntington Wv.
