Mr. Grobe switched out from requested materials to cheaper materials during the work. When questioned why, he said he could not find these locally although he told us at initial interview, he would provide them. (We asked for upgraded synthetic vapor barrier which lasts years better than felt paper, we got partial felt till he located synthetic locally. We asked for "cap" screws to hold the metal down, we got cheaper screws that need replacement every few years, we asked for replacement of all rusted vent caps, we got left with a rusty vent over our kitchen that leaks water every time we have heavy rain, we had no leaks before. ) He came back three times to fix leak, said the vent was an odd size not made anymore, he would rig a fix. After 5 weeks of promises to return and finish properly, he repeatedly ignores all calls. I finally hired another contractor to fix the leak, he did this in one day and found the right sized vent at Lowe's.
