Handyman and Labor Svcs

Owner arrived on time, looked at everything that we wanted to have done and provided us with an acceptable estimate.  He arrived with one of his employees on time on the day scheduled than left to go to another job.  His employee was very friendly and professional.  He did tell us that he "usually" did lawns and landscaping but "could" do the roofing repairs OK and when he finished the tiles were a shade off but when the owner came back he said that after they were out in the weather for awhile they would fade to blend in with the other tiles.  All of the work appeared to be well done and was satisfactory.  The owner returned and they removed all of the old tile and trash they had in a pile.  The price was exactly as per the estimate which appeared to be a little high to me but not having hired anyone for this type of work before, it may have been within reason.  We scheduled (or at least considered it "scheduled" on our part ) for them to return the first or second week of November to trim all of our bushes and plants and I asked if we should call them or would they just call us when they were coming.  The owner said they would call us with the exact date when they started their fall landscaping work.  They never called and never came.  We could have called them but I wanted to see if they would do what they had said; however, it did not happen so it was necessary to have one of our neighbors help to do it.  The only "don't" would be to ensure you have an exact date and time for any return work.  Thats very minor but since I didn't expect it, it's only fair to mention it.  The work they did and the person who did it was a satisfactory experience.  I did check some other prices and the price was a little high but not so far out of line that I wouldn't use them again if necessary.
