Larry Kohler

Larry arrived on time and performed the work in a professional manner. He was polite and responsiveness. The price he quoted was fair and he completed the work on time. He cleaned up the work area very well and took great care to reduce dust migration into other areas of the house. We may well hire him again to repair some additional cracks in our plaster. I highly recommend Larry for this type of work.

Mr. Kohler and his helper were very punctual. They began work on time each day. It was refreshing to have a contractor arrive when they said they would and stay on the job until completion. I was very impressed with Mr Kohler's attention to detail. He had some extensive repair to do in some of the bedrooms and and made sure each repair met with my satisfaction. The painting that he did received the same attention to detail. The rooms are beautiful. Mr. Kohler made sure that he cleaned up on a daily basis. He removed a all trash. He really did a great job of keeping dust from other areas of the house. I believe he provided a great service for a fair price. I would give Mr. Kohler my highest recommendation. I intend to utilize his services in the future.

We contacted Larry in August 2013. We found him listed in the Herald-Mail. We had tried contacting three other contractors. We were specifically looking for someone who could work with our plaster walls. Two contractors never even bothered to return our call. One came by, insisted that our problem was too small for him, and left. 
Water had been leaking in from an exterior wall and damaged the plaster. We originally called looking for advice on how to fix it ourselves, but we were quickly convinced that it was a bigger job than we could handle. Larry gave us an estimate and we set a date for two weeks out, to ensure that the wall was really dry and our leak was really fixed. 
It turned out that the leak was not fixed. I should be clear, Larry had nothing to do with the leak. We needed to postpone our appointment until we were sure we had fixed the source of the leak. He was very understanding and flexible.
We got a section of our roof replaced, and then had to wait for a sufficiently heavy rain to be sure that our problem was really solved this time. Once we were convinced, we set a date for the 7th of October. The day before that date, Larry called and asked to reschedule the appointment because he was ill. We weren't in a huge hurry to get the job done, so it was no problem to reschedule for the next week. 
He came today, right on time. He did the work quickly and professionally. He left our kitchen cleaner than when he started. Before he left, he explained what we might expect was the wall dried. He used dry wall, but he explained that he needed to use an unusual amount of mud because the walls in our older house were a little uneven. He explained that it was possible to see some cracks form as the mud dried, but he assured us that he would repair any cracks as no additional charge. 
I recommend his work very highly. He was professional, informative, responsive, and fairly priced from estimate to delivery.
