I don't think Mr. Voiers knows what he is doing when it comes to construction. When I hire a contractor I expect him to perform the work as if he was working on his own home which Mr. Voiers doesn't have.
Description of Work: In response to Mustang Construction: My home is an older home. That is why I have been improving it over the last few years and why I removed the carpets and bought laminate flooring and underlayment. I have put a new metal roof as well as drywall throughout. New wiring, plumbing and foundation. I do not live in filth as stated by Mr. Voiers. As for the floor where you could see the crawlspace under the house. Yes there was after he removed the plywood that covered the area where an old floor furnace used to be. He covered up the area with laminate flooring and did not frame it in or anything. He used landscaping timber to brace the floors. Yes there was a deceased cat under the house that came up missing about a year before he did the work. I was not aware of this until he told me which is very upsetting. The house had been treated for fleas about a week before he did the work on my house after me and a couple of friends had ripped out the carpet. As for my brother in law, he made Mr. Voiers come back and redo some of the work that was not done correctly. I think it is very distasteful that Mr. Voiers would counter back with such an insane insult. I have since heard from many other contractors that they have had to go to people's homes and redo work that Mr. Voiers had done prior. I definitately would not recommend Mustang Construction for even the slightest job. Thank you.

I am a single woman and live alone and have been badly taken advantage of by Mustang Construction. Joey Voiers gave me an estimate of $1800 to lay 700 square feet of laminate flooring in four rooms of my house as well as trim around the doors and windows and baseboards. I had already purchased the flooring and underlay. He increased the amount to $2100 because he had to buy the trim. He didn't buy baseboard because he used trim for baseboard instead. I didn't know the difference until another contractor came to look at the job after it was completed and my floors started pulling apart. He didn't use any corner round or threshold. He did a terrible job! Chances are I am going to have to hire another contractor to repair his mistakes. He used wood putty at the bottom of my patio door. He also nailed a piece of white trim on the floor in a doorway going into my bathroom. It looks awful. He also broke my dresser mirror and a chunk of wood on the corner of my mirror frame. He fixed the mirror but the wood is still messed up. He also broke the frame on one of my window screens. My floors are pulling apart in every room. He got the trim around my front door so tight that it cracked my drywall from floor to ceiling because I had to force the door open and closed. I contacted him and he assured me that he would be here the following Saturday to take a look at it. That was 2 months ago. I have since found out that there are alot of other people that have hired him and were very disappointed and had to hire other contractors to fix his messes. I highly recommend that you do not hire this man. It will cost you more money for a terrible job.

Response from Mustang Construction
This customer failed to mention the supports added under her home was additional cost. This customer’s house should be torn down I told her to use transition string between rooms because the floor was so bad it would separate. Against my advice she wanted flow through so I did as she asked. The one room was actually falling in, you could see the crawl space from upstairs. I was very curious to the customer. I did a job for her father after hers, no complaints, and also her brother –in –law, no complaints. Every evening after leaving the customer’s house myself and workers stripped outer clothing off because we would be covered in fleas. The customer keeps two very large dogs in the house and several cats. We even found dead ones under the home. She lives in filth, her own son won’t let his child go in there. I feel no foul on my part. I warned of the separation if she flowed flooring through instead of using transition strips. She stated I had a criminal history, and I do but nothing in 17 years of being lic. on my company, this in my opinion she is looking for a free ride. I’ve found out she seems to be a continuous problem.
