He found the problem, replaced the part, made sure that was the only problem, leveled the dirt out, put grass seed and straw on. He gave me the part that went bad and explained what happened. He's kind and does a thorough job. Our church uses his services too. We have been very pleased with his work. Would definitely use him again.

When interviewing local contractors, Liberty Excavating was listed as one approved by our county to perform the work. We contacted Liberty Excavating and amazingly Greg Dash answered the phone immediately. We spoke, I gave him some background and he scheduled a time to come out to look at the project and give us an estimate. Liberty was one of a few others we were interviewing for the job. We decided to go with this company because of the level of knowledge, professionalism and honesty I felt I was given. Greg gave us a written estimate and was very helpful as we asked questions along the way. We even changed our mind and switched from adding two lines to replacing our existing drain field with 4 new lines. This company is professional, thorough and very knowledgeable not to mention prompt. They started on time, returned to finish the job and cleaned up after the job was done. Their prices are within the same range as others in the area but what set them apart was the professionalism and respect they showed to myself and my husband. I would highly recommend this company again and again. It was a pleasure doing business with them even though the work that had to be done is not something most people look forward to having to have done. If you need work on your drain lines, Liberty Excavating is the company to call.

Despite our yard being dug up nearly two months ago, it almost looks like the lawn was never touched. Greg is a pro - he gives accurate and honest quotes, he communicates really well and is available by text message and the work was completed to our satisfaction. We upgraded our septic system to be county board of health compliant for the additional bedrooms and Greg worked quickly to get all the permits and inspections completed to finalize our now septic-compliant home. Greg was the best. I called him on Monday he showed up on Monday to see what he had to do. Came back Tuesday did the job. Waiting on Robert Seward who put the septic pump in and did the rewiring witch was the wrong pump and the wiring was also wrong. He would not come back to make it right, so Greg put in new pump and did the rewiring. He did an exceptional job. Greg will be the guy we used for now on. GREAT JOB. Greg called when he said he would. Arrived early for the scheduled time. Explained to me how the old one was improperly assembled. then proceeded to construct the new line correctly.

Liberty ran the job well. They had professional staff on site, they told me before hand when they would start the work and showed up on time. This particular job had some unforeseen rocks hit in the field. They discussed the options, and we quickly made changes to accommodate our situation. The forest was removed and carefully burned with fire department approval on our property. The trenches were dug, which also had its shares of difficulties bc of buried rocks, and Greg put his head down and made all of the adjustments to get the job done. The company was professional, honest, forthcoming with what to expect and worked hard to get a good job done. I have had the system in place with out any issues.

It worked out great! The alarm condition didn't return. More generally, Liberty Excavating had resolved another VERY difficult "septic freeze" condition in my sand mound, which other providers failed to resolve. After being installed in 2013 by another company, my sand mound septic system froze in the worst part of winter. The first year it happened. I asked the original installer to resolve it. They tried to put some extra earth on the pipe leading to my sand mound, but the next winter it froze again. I asked another provider to come and look at it, but they didn't know how to resolve. Then I called Liberty Excavating. They (Greg Dash) came, investigated, and though of an innovative solution -- which was to install a valve to empty the pipe leading to the sand mound after each time it pumped out. The cost was reasonable for the work done. The next winter was very cold, but it never froze. Since then I've had several communications with Liberty, and they are always responsive, professional, and reasonable. It is so good to have a professional like Liberty who I can call when I need.

Greg did a great job of removing the old tank and backfilling the hole with good dirt. He seeded the site, and we now have a good stand of grass.

I have nothing but the highest accolades to give to Liberty Excavating! I called them originally on a Saturday afternoon and they were out to my house later that day. The staff was nothing but helpful, polite, and efficient. They problem I was having with my septic was resolved in a timely fashion and done well. I would recommend this company to anyone who asks.

Greg and his team arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem right away. They made some adjustments inside the distribution box and put on a proper riser (the one the builder had put there was insufficient.) Liberty was efficient, honest, competent, courteous and professional. The problem was resolved and did not require excavation as the last company had suggested.

Very very happy with the service and job done. His price was very reasonable, he is personable, respectful, and timely. I had previously contracted another local service provider and wasn't very satisfied with the service, and even less with the price. I try to support local business and liberty(Greg himself) will get all the business I can afford to give him and all the recommendations I can give as well.

Greg and his team did an excellent job replacing our septic system (tank and field). They were extremely courteous and clean, and the nicest, happiest team to have working on our property. I would highly recommend their work. We live on the side of a mountain and they worked around trees, and did such a good job putting everything back where it belonged when done. We couldn't be more pleased with the work they did. Greg is very responsive and a honest straight shooting kind of guy, extremely likable. He keeps you informed of what is going on and is very reliable. He knows what he is doing, and is well respected in my community.

The first response to my Angie's List request was a phone call received on a Saturday morning within 15 minutes of me sending the request. Greg was inquisitive and set up a time to show up and look at the situation. When he arrived he was professional and courteous and went right to the heart of the matter. After a little discussion, and many questions from me, he thought he knew what the issue was potentially, and soon provided me with a written estimate and a quick start date. While the initial repair was being conducted, it was discovered that we had a little more serious issue and we did some exploring of the drain field to determine that the field had been initially set up in a manner which failed to allow the water to flow efficiently from the first trench to the remaining three trenches. Upon further inspection it appeared that we had been only using the first trench in the system and that is what was causing the back flow and the septic tanks failure to dispose of the effluent efficiently.  He decided the best course of action was to install the lines on the end closest to the tank, instead of on the far end where they had been initially put in, and to add a distribution box to ensure all trenches were getting an equal amount of drainage. He also removed the crossovers from the far end of the trenches and added cleanouts so that the system could be checked more efficiently.  Within a few days and at our agreed upon time, he and his crew arrived to begin the work. There were some difficulties encountered in locating a couple of the trenches, since the initial installer had placed them in a manner which did not match the sketches provided. Liberty Excavating spent an extra morning there due to the delays caused by this issue. Upon completion of the repairs and the inspection, they backfilled everything and reseeded the area. They also took great pride in cleaning up the area and making everything right.  They completed all the work in a timely professional manner and on budget. I would not hesitate to call them on any issue which requires a professional and courteous crew with an attention to detail.

He recommended a route for the new driveway to spare as many big trees as possible and minimize slopes. He shifted dirt from the upper side of the route to the lower side to make a level surface. He broke bedrock in the way and put the resulting boulders on the lower side.
After initial clearing, I decided it was going well enough to add 50% to the length of the driveway and circle back to the road, and he charged proportionate to the extra length, which we both thought was fair.
He had many loads of shale brought in to make a base, then many loads of crusher run gravel. When I wanted the entrance flatter for easy exits, he moved gravel around to make that happen. It has lasted through the spring, summer and fall rains. I sowed grass throughout, which looks good and helps hold the gravel in place.

The install went excellently. Greg kept us informed of his progress and was very responsive to our questions. He gave us a great deal as he discovered a significant amount of rock in our yard that had to be removed before the install. Most of the other septic companies gave us the run around, but it took Liberty about a month to schedule us and 2 days to complete the install. I can't recommend this company enough.

He is very personable and contact/gets back to you. I have nothing bad to say about them at all. They are very decent people.
