I requested an estimate last fall and they timely provided me with an estimate. Due to the time of year, the work was not able to be completed that season. When I did not hear anything this spring, I contacted the service and asked if they could give me an idea of when the trees would be trimmed. When I got my response, the work was completed timely, efficiently and exactly as the estimate that I was given. I did have to wait some time for them, but I am very happy with the work. Dogwood will not top trees but the trimmed the tree and indicated if I had any problems to let them know and they would come back. The trees I had trimmed were a Bradford pear and a Locust. The pear tree had been damaged in a previous storm and had extreme sucker growth. On the day the work was completed, the weather was extremely hot and the man worked straight through lunch to complete the job. He cleaned up all debris after the trees were trimmed and did not damage any plantings in the surrounding area.

This was fall work so we had to allow for weather. Weather delayed which was not Dogwood's fault. They wrote a very good, explicit contract that outlined exact expectations. They followed their part of the deal, we did ours and paid early because of their good job. I wish I had asked for the wood to be piled but it was spelled out in the contract that it would be left where cut. I'll know to ask next time. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. Cost was about $500/tree, which is pretty reasonable for that kind of work. They provided good insurance coverage and business credentials. The principal is Joel, who knows his trees and made some good observations when he came on the property for the initial visit and estimate. I will use them again.

When I called Dogwood Tree Service I got an answering machine. I left a message and it took weeks for them to call me back. I'm sure it has to do with the workload from hurricane Sandy. But once he called me back all was as good as it could be. He evaluated my tree at no cost, and offered to provide estimates for removal. I will use Dogwood Tree Service in the future.

I just like them. I like the contact, the guy that owns the place and the crew. I was pleased with all that they did. The work that they did was very good. When they were gone, I couldn't even tell they were here.
