"Very polite, did the work around the rain and still finished in two days. We live in a very old house which has more problems than can see initially . Checked with us when ran into complications and before adding cost to the bill. Reused materials that were still useable. Very willing to consider more small jobs."

"I was contacted by Grafton Hypes not long after I had requested a quote from Angi. He came and looked at the projects I had (a leaky shower line, leak in the shower, covering an access panel, and replacing a hot water tank) and gave a fair estimate. After accepting his estimate, I purchased the supplies he needed and scheduled a time that worked well. Both Grafton and his son were prompt in arriving and did great work. Things went very smoothly and I was very happy with the job the two of them did for us. I absolutely recommend hiring Hypes Construction for any jobs. They do great work, are friendly, and very fair in their pricing. If/when work comes up again, I won't hesitate to call for sure."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Pool concrete or gunite can take several weeks to cure, or an average of 30 days, before workers can resume construction. Additional work and finishes push the time to build a pool out of concrete to between three and six months. There are many types of pools that take far less time, so keep these in mind if you're on a short timeline.

You’ll save money by filling your pool by hose rather than water delivery. Since water delivery includes delivery fees and filling the pool, the savings between the two can be a difference of up to several hundred dollars. Generally, using your hose costs $26 to $70 less per 1,000 gallons than using water delivery.

An in-ground concrete pool will carry the highest price tag of all available types of pools, with architectural or freeform concrete pools found at the top end of the price range. Although the upfront costs for a concrete pool are high, these pools tend to be more durable than pools made from other materials and will last the longest.

While you shouldn’t notice water that has an appropriate amount of chlorine in it (less than 4 parts per million), you could feel sick from drinking overly chlorinated water. Chlorine exposure can cause nausea, vomiting, coughing, and dizziness. Chronic chlorine exposure (meaning multiple or repeated instances) can make you feel like you have the flu, according to the CDC.

Yes, you can use food coloring to find a pool leak. Alternatively, you can use pool detection dyes that are nontoxic and biodegradable. Depending on how much food dye you have on hand, it may be more cost-effective to use pool dyes.

The dye test is one of the best swimming pool leak detection tools because the dyes are heavier than water. By observing where the dye gets sucked in, you can find the location of your leak.
