In each instance where we've contracted with Starr Remodeling, the work went very smoothly and the results were as nearly perfect as possible.  
The projects Starr Remodeling has done for us include:  replaced our shingle roof, plus installation of a chimney cap and of a rubber roof on one section of the roof; demolished our horrible old porch and built a beautiful screen porch; replaced front door and screen door; installed new vinyl siding and soffits.   Every morning, they'd arrive on time, and every evening, they'd clean up equipment and project detritus, so it never felt like an overwhelming mess.
Sadly, their website is no longer there, and I've been unable to reach them in recent months.  If they see this review, I hope they'll respond.  If the company has been disbanded, I'd like to get contact info for any of the staff members:  if some or all of them are working for another contractor now, I would want to do my next project with that contractor, just to have the guys from Starr Remodeling again.  It's not going to be easy to find anyone as good as this again.

I've used them a couple of times. They were fine and good. I would recommend them. He was very prompt and I called them, they came out and they were here when they were supposed to be. They did the job and then left. It was a reasonable price.

I like the quality of their work. They stayed within our budget. They get it done when they said they would.

Homeowners beware. We hired this company to complete a home renovation. There were problems with every facet of the renovation: roof, bathrooms, kitchen, drywall. The contractor hired inexperienced workers who damaged vanities, flooring, and cabinetry. Workers, if they showed up, insisted on parking in the lawn and leaving ruts. The worker who was to install my kitchen (who Starr described as their "finish carpenter") actually asked me, "What's a finish carpenter?" After several attempts at finishing the drywall, the contractor finally admitted that his drywall man didn't know what he was doing. The tile in the shower floor was improperly installed causing water to puddle in front of the drain. New doors will not close. The trim is falling off the wall. The kitchen cabinets were improperly installed. It's a mess. Due to Starr's incompetence, carelessness, and dishonesty, we lost a great deal of time and money. They say all the right things, but do not, or cannot follow through.

They did a great job. Finished product looks great. Easy to work with.

Overall, I was happy with the service and finished product. Nothing really bad to say about this company. They were low bidder, did a good job and did it fast.

He did a good job and we are happy with his work.

He is a very nice man and is very friendly. He does good work, and you will never mind dealing with him.

The seams were supposed to be sealed and it was supposed to last for several years. On May 27th, 2009, less than 18 months after the job the roof is pouring rainwater. We have called and left repeated messages without any response from the company.
