Description of Work: After over 38 years of services my Singer sewing machine quit sewing in the middle of making a Halloween costume, hemming 2 other Halloween costumes, and hemming 5 pairs of pants for grandsons. When I dropped the machine off in the late afternoon the technician said it sounded like a broke a gear and that it would cost about $125 and I had to pay a $25.00 deposit which would be deducted from the total bill. He informed me that he would clean and oil the machine, too. Early the next day he called and informed me it was ready to pick up. Cost was as estimated. I used it that night and it works great. It came with a 90 day warranty, too. Yes, $125 may sound like a lot to pay for fixing a sewing machine but to me it was well worth the money. I have used this machine for over 38 years and that was the first time I have had it in for any kind of repair. I am familiar with the workings of the machine even though it does nothing fancy and I usually use it for clothing repairs and hemming pants. I was told that I should bring it in for oiling about once a year. I was impressed with the speed of repair and to have a warranty, too.

Description of Work: They worked on my serger. It still doesnt sew correctly, and they damaged the front piece when working on it. They refused to compensate for their damage.This actually took place longer ago than 2011 but no option for that in the pulldown.

Description of Work: Adjusted tension problem on Bernina 580 and cleaned and oil.

Description of Work: Clean & adjusted sewing machine. Graeshed motor annual check up.
