My mother is elderly and he was told that the carpet needed to be safe. The top three steps and the landing he did beautifully, but the last seven steps, which he charged an extra $100 to do, he did a really bad job leaving, ragged and dangerous edges. He did not complete the work as he described he would. He was contacted twice to come back and fix the problem. Both times he promised to show up to redo the carpet, but did not return or even call. His work was poor and he was unprofessional when asked to make it right. Do not hire this man or you may be left with half completed work. My sister and I finally had to carpet the steps ourselves. That's how easy the fix was for this problem. Two middle aged women were able to fix the carpet in three hours. And that included removing the mess he made. How long would it have taken someone who is supposed to be a professional? There is no excuse for his behavior. He surely intended to cheat an elderly lady out of her money.
Description of Work: He was hired to put carpet on 10 steps that go to basement. No padding was needed and the carpet was already on site. He qoeted $125.00 to do 4-5 steps. Turns out there were 10 steps all together.
