Called and was able to deliver my laptop to them the same day - finished the work and I was able to pick it up the next. Good work and fast!

Somewhere about 3 months ago I started having trouble with connecting to the internet. I mainly use my computer to pay bills and conduct business from time to time. When this issue started with not being able to connect, I stressed and didn't know where to go for help. I called my internet provider, and they walked me through some steps. 3 hours later they had no clue what to do and recommended that I call the computer co. since my computer was still under warranty. Fustrated, I did just that 2 days later - big fat mistake. Just getting through the automated prompts are a nightmare, then the first person to help me spoke little to no english and I had to ask repeatedly to speak with someone I could understand, finally after an hour of going round n round with this idiot and getting nowhere I was connected to someone I could understand. He started asking questions I had no answers to and had me doing things to my computer that were confusing me and a bit scary. 5 hours later, he gave up. Told me I had a virus and that there was nothing he could do without charging me a rediculous per minute charge. He recommended I find a repair shop locally and take it to them. A few days later I was talking to a friend of mine and she wanted my email. I told her that my computer was having problems and I needed to take it somewhere for repairs. She told me of a company called PC Repair here in Charleston and that she had used their services long ago and have had no trouble with thier computer since. She knew the name but not the number so I looked them up on Google, then read their website information and decided to call. The technician was very nice, comforting even and asked questions I responded yes and no to. Very quickly, less than a minute, he determined I had a common virus that disguises its self as a legit program and is a real pain to get rid of. He offered to come to my location but I delcined and dropped the computer off to them the next day since I would be out of town and not needing it for a few days. Once I returned, I called and we arranged to have it delived here to my home. He was very professional and friendly, funny too, has quite the stories of how he started and where he's been in life. He explained in detail, in an uncomplicated manner, what had happened to my computer, that I needed a router to go between my cable modem and my computer, that he upgraded my antivirus to Norton and an amazing eplaination of how to prevent my vulnerablities to "cooties" while being on the internet. He assured me that I could call anytime with questions and issues and he would help me. We settled the bill and I told him he was the best thing ever. I would recommend him to everyone I knew. He gave a me a smile and a few business cards and said he was here to help and to call anytime. If there were more people like that running businesses in this country we would be alot better off. So now, I'm here, telling my story, I feel it's the least I could do.
