My sewage ejector pump(which I had been told was only a ground water sump pump) on my newly purchased (6 weeks) home had stopped working after a recent power outage.  I called the home warranty people and after some runaround they sent a plumber (not Solberg).  I was informed that I did not have a ground water sump pump, but a sewage ejector pump and all they could work on was the panel connected to the house.  I was also informed that the panel was fine and the repairs would all be on me and was probably looking at 2-3k dollars.  So I decided to call another plumber.  When I called late in the day on Friday and he told me that he was not available until Monday.  I texted Monday  morning that I still needed someone and I received a text that he could be there within the hour.  Just slightly over an hour later he shows and I give as much info as I can.  He proceed to check the system in what seemed to me to be a very thoughtful, logical pattern.  He discovered quickly that the pump was still good, which was a relief.  He checked the floats and finally back to the panel again and discovered that a twenty dollar part was all that was needed.  Good, honest, fair work for a reasonable price.  I would definitely use this plumber again.

Solberg used to be a premium plumbing company; fast, professional, reasonably priced. Not any more. Called to have a shower drain unstopped, and a toilet checked. I was not present at the time of the service and the worker was let in by my adult son. The cost was around $200 to unstop a drain and replace one rubber stopper in a toilet. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking I might have had a difficult drain; I called to get an estimate to run a water line for a refrigerator ice maker. The guy that showed up was young, and swaggered around talking about how difficulty the job would be, and gave me an estimate of almost $400! I called another person and the job was done for $65, which included disconnecting a dishwasher that was going to be replaced. I see now $200 to unstop a drain was a pure rip off. What a shame! They used to be such a good company.
