I called City Electric and asked if I could get a rough quote for some electrical work. I was told that they could give me a quote- but they charged $95/hour, and I could go ahead and book if I wanted to. My exact response was, “$95/hour sounds good, let’s go ahead and do it!”. What they failed to mention, and what we didn’t know until we received the bill, was that they charge $95/hr PER electrician. This was never once disclosed to us. Secondly, while we did have two electricians do work, one of the electricians was clearly learning on the job, yet we were charged just as much as the master electrician. I am totally fine having someone with less experience working on my house and being talked through some points, but I don’t feel it’s fair to charge as much for that person as the actual master electrician. When I called to pay the bill and express my unhappiness with the lack of transparency, I was given no apology, and was told that, “Well, if only one electrician had to do all the work it would have taken them longer and your bill would still be the same amount”. Umm, no not necessarily. Both of the electricians were at our home for about an hour and a half. It should have taken one person maybe two hours/two and a half hours to complete the work on their own. So overall, very disappointed in the poor customer service we received, and we will not be using their services again.

The first thing they tried to do was to see me a new generator. Mine is only 3 years old. Secondly, quoted a $2,200.00 repair and another licensed electrician fixed it for $400

They did a great job rerouting and making upgrades to the service panel. They did a wonderful job overall and I was highly impressed with the service. I really liked that they came out quickly, gave an estimate, and then completed the job shortly afterward.
