Tony promptly got a part for a 1996 Maytag and got it back in service in a whip stitch. He has kept my older appliances operating over the years at reasonable cost and is always great to deal with.

Ended up nothing was wrong and we had done everything we needed to clear up the problem. Minimal fee for the house call. Would definitely call again! Just gave my mom their phone number to fix her washing machine!

Contacted Mr. Light on Wednesday afternoon to arrange service and ask about service call rate. We arranged a 10am appointment on Friday, February 19, 2016. He called at 920 on Friday morning and said he could come early. He arrived and quickly found the problem. Went to Charleston to get the part and returned and installed the new valve. Charged $40 for the service call, $30 for the part and $20 for labor. With tax, it was $95.40. I figured a service call alone would have been at least $100. He said he's been doing appliance repair for 28 years. I would certainly recommend him.

It went very well. I called Mr. Tony Light on November 30, and he said he could not do the work that day but would call me on December 1. I gave him the dryer model number on the day I called. He called me back the next morning and I reviewed the problem with him again. He said he would go pick up the part and come and do the repair that morning. He arrived timely and promptly began repairing the dryer which had a burned out fuse. He also, on his own volition, checked the exhaust hose and straightened out a kink in the metal hose. He worked very quickly and was very professional and personable.

I was very pleased with his efficiency, his thoroughness and his price. The total bill was $111.30 and a substantial portion of that was for the part. I definitely will call him again if I have another large appliance to repair.

Other than a small 'hiccup' on first contact/scheduling, great service and repair. Will request service from this vendor in the future.

This is a one-man business, and the man is wonderful!  His name is Tony Light and he has years of repair experience.  No, we are not related to Tony and had never met him before he responded to our call.  Our dryer quit working.  We didn't know who to call so we looked on Angie's List and Tony's business, Allied Appliance Repair, came up with positive reviews.  We decided to give him a try.  And wow, we are very happy that we did! 
We talked with him early in the morning and he was at our house before noon that same day.  We were astounded at his prompt service.  He diagnosed the problem and fixed it immediately.  Also cleaned out the vent.  In and out in less than a half an hour.
Not only was his service prompt, but his fee was extremely reasonable!  He says that he doesn't want to take advantage of people as some repair businesses do.  It is so refreshing to find a repairman who actually cares about his customers.  And yes, our dryer is now working fine. 
Tony says that he does not repair microwaves or TVs, but he does work on other major appliances -- refrigerators, freezers, washers, dishwashers and of course dryers.
Tony, you are the greatest!  Personable, prompt, reasonable and professional.  We cannot say enough good things about Tony and the quality of his work.  If you have a major appliance that needs repair, grab your phone now and call Tony!  We certainly will the next time we have a problem.

I've used Tony for years and have been very satisfied with all aspects of his work for at least five years, probably longer.  His work is consistently great and is reasonably priced, and I intend to call him again in the future.

After detecting the problem I called the company that we bought the fridge from.  They could not come for five days but gave me two other names to call if we wanted faster service.  Those companies quoted service days six and seven days out.  Frustrated, I remembered I was a member of Angie's List so checked that site.  Tony Light was listed first as someone with 10 positive reviews so I tried his number.  Calling his office, his receptionist connected me with Tony who was in the field working on another call.  He indicated that he was near my home and offered to come by to look at the problem.   He came...fixed the problem within two hours including the trip to get the part...and I now have a working fridge.  I will recommend him to anyone having issues getting service and will advise them to call Allied Appliance Repair at-304-345-1005

He is prompt on returning your calls. He does quality work and he service all name brand appliances. I had a problem with my dryer on time. He was able to walk me through the process to repair my dryer over the phone and he didn't charge me for it. I am satisfied with his service and I would use him again in the future.

Allied Appliance was the first one on the list. I called and left a message. They called the next morning and came the next day. It was a high-end dryer and there wasn’t a schematic to help him diagnose it. He had to troubleshoot on his own for about 45 minutes. Finally he thought he found the part that would work. He ordered it and brought the part out the next day and hooked it up and in less than 10 minutes it was working perfectly. He’s very professional and punctual. He was here 2 days, the part was $30 and he only charged me $85. Tony is wonderful.
