CRAFTSMAN ELECTRIC

My initial quote was free. The team arrived onetime and kept me informed while the work was in progress. They gave me options on how something should be installed, but recommended the best choice for my situation. Originally the work was to take two days with two workers on the job, happily they found a third worker who was able to knock the job down to 1 day (8am-3:30pm). They cleaned up fairly well after all of the jobs and requested cleaning supplies to do so, which I was happy to supply.  

The total price was exactly as quoted but they knocked about $150 off price for being an Angie's list member - which is where I found Craftsman Electric. 

I would highly recommend using Craftsman Electric as I will if I have future electrically needs in my home. 

Sam did a great job.  The job was quoted at "around $60 to $80."  It cost almost $200.  $12 of that was for a part and I can't argue with it.  He did the job in about 45 minutes but I was charged for a full hour of work, which I would probably have accepted.  The big issue is he charged me over $50 additional for the first hour.  He explained that whenever they come out, the first hour has this surcharge.  He said it was standard in the industry.  I think this is consumer gouging and I have never had to pay this before.  It is thievery, in my opinion.  I will never use this company again.  They do a great job but they lied about the estimate and they lied about the first hour surcharge and this surcharge is just plain stealing.

This was my first time to use Angie's list.

Mr. Denney seemed very qualified and knew what he was doing, and was very nice and polite.  He seemed to immediately know what the "trouble" was in each instance, which gave me a sense of security (very important to me!))  Not knowing anything myself about "electrical stuff" , Mr. Denney did not - in even a small way - make me feel dumb.  He just seemed happy to be of service and correct my electrical problems..  I asked for his business card because I wanted to be sure to ask for Craftsman Electric again if I need to call Angie's List for electrical service in the future.  Highly recommend Mr Denney/Craftsman Electric..
