When we decided to definitely go with Small Solutions, they scheduled us for two days later, and arrived to get started early. The crew was extremely courteous and respectful. When they first arrived, my son was still asleep, but they took excessive care to not wake him, which I thought was incredibly thoughtful. They appeared to work well together as a team, even though they each had their own part of the job to do. They worked efficiently and professionally and my family never felt uncomfortable with them in our home. And, as any pet owner can understand my appreciation of this: they were nice to my dogs too.
Small Solutions was recommended to us by a friend of our family, and now the Small Solutions crew will be recommended by us to other friends.
However, I had to call every day for nearly two weeks for Mr Dylan Small, owner, to respond to my request to replace the indoor coil. I finally told the receptionist that I would move on to another company but that I needed the installation paperwork and warranty info to pursue another contractor. I then said that I would rate their company appropriately on Angie's List and Home Advisor.
After passing that along, I finally received a call from Mr. Small saying he was sorry but had pressing family responsibilities and that I would need to find another HVAC contractor. He did fedex the paperwork to me and agree that he would wave the $250 charge to recharge the freon. Mr Small also said he would send a list of Rheem Contractors for follow-up. However he never sent the less.
"My most sincere apologies, I had a death to deal with. I tried to help you and got your tenant up and running. I never asked for a credit or payment, we just took care of it. My small family run company hired a temp to answer the phones opposed to closing the doors for two weeks. Please consider what I spent in labor, materials and Fedexing you the info over from the other company who installed the unit. I got stuck in the middle, still helped you. And I was left with a black eye. I would of rather you left no response at all than treat us this way. I am new to angles list and don't know if you can change you rating or remove it. But that would be nice, remember we gave to you, never took anything from you. Thank you Dylan"

I am sorry about your costly bill, but i wanted to let you know that we are now under new ownership and would like for you to give us a call if you ever need anything!! We charge $85 for a Spring/Fall maintenance, $85 per pound of freon and the labor is included in the original price!! Please feel free to give us a call and let us know if there is ever anything we can help you with!!"
The final price charged was almost exactly equal to the estimate given. The tech was extremely polite and knowledgable.
