I needed a POD to be emptied from the driveway into my new house. Two guys showed up on time, were polite and respectful, moved everything without breaking anything. Unfortunately, I had to pay for mileage for them to get here and that was 60 miles. I was I would need to pay for that but I assumed it was across town, not 60 miles away. Second, only two people showed up when I was quoted for three, and the price stayed the same. Last, I was charged for three hours of work when they only worked for two hours. They said that it?s a ?required state minimum of three hours?. I have never heard of a state dictating how long a moving job should take. All in all the guys that were here did great but the company kind of took advantage of me.

TLDR: DO NOT HIRE THESE SCAM ARTISTS! I hired Eclipse movers to move my furniture only. They showed up 40 minutes late because the driver called off. They loaded all of my furniture into their truck and I could tell they were not using enough in between things so I kept asking them to make sure each item had protection from rubbing together. They assured me they knew what they were doing. The trip from one address to another was 75 miles one way. Google maps slated it at 1 hour and 15 minutes doing the speed limit. 90% of the trip was interstate. They left ahead of me on the way to the new house. I was 15 minutes behind them and headed that way to give them time to drive a little slower and I figured I would catch up. Instead, they had stopped for about 30 minutes to work on the windshield wipers on their pilot car. My family saw them going in the opposite direction through town and let me know. I called them and did not get an answer, but then was called back quickly. Only then did they tell me they had known the wipers were broken and were headed back to the shop to get the part and fix the wipers. 3 hours after they had left my original residence they showed up at the new one. So only then did they tell me that they had known that the wipes were broken they had to go back to the shop to fix them. I was being charged by the hour ($190 per hour) so their windshield wipers cost me an extra $140 they also charged me $2 per mile at 86 miles, but the trip is only 75 miles, so I was charged for them running back to their shop to fix the problem they knew they had if they even had a problem. These people are so untrustworthy that I could easily see them making things up just to charge for more miles and time. So they finally make it to the new house and my nice bistro table was destroyed, it was a claw foot table and all 4 legs were busted off. My media rack was busted in half, my stand lamps were busted, and almost every piece of furniture had large scratches and rubs on the faces that mattered. They ruined most of my furniture. The worst part is that in the end, they wanted me to pay up at full price with a $50 discount and I was promised that they would make things right with all they destroyed and damaged, but it was all a lie. I had to threaten to cancel my check to get a callback and then after I let the check go through they stopped responding. These people are thieves. I have never been ripped off so badly in my life and I am hoping that the reviews that I am leaving will help people avoid what I have been through. DO NOT HIRE THESE TERRIBLE CROOKS!!
