Description of Work: Dan did not start the job, he instead took my money and never showed up.

Description of Work: No services were ever preformed, Dan "Eugene Daniel Golden" took our down payment of $2,780, gave us a time that he would be ordering all of the building materials and a start date, he failed to meet either of the two agreements. No work was preformed, however he still kept our $2,780 and to this day 9/18/2012 refuses to return it. .

Description of Work: on 05/ 22/ 2012 the company restoration homes, dan (aka eugene daniel golden) golden, west virginia drivers lisence number WVE357207. did come to our home in response to the call i had made to him reguarding the craigslist add he had placed reguarding home repairs his company could provide includeing roof replacement , which the home was inneed of. he quoted a price of 4880.00 for 3380.00 materials and 1500.00 labor .he said he would require 2480.00 up front for the materials which would probably be delivered 05/31/2012. the next time i herd from him was on 05/29/2012 when he called and said that he had purchased the materials that day and had spent an additional 1000.00$ more than he had planed and asked for an additional 1000.00$ so he could he could get this ammount off his credit card. he returned that day and was given an additional 1000.00$ then. he did promise to start the work on 06/01/2012 . him and his brother showed up then on 06/05/2012 in response to our calls that roofing materials had neither showed up or been ordered for delivery from both lowes in our vicinity. they dan and his brother began work for about two hours that day and returned the next day and completed removing shingles from the rear of our house onto the ground their. and had installed the costly roof underlayment that i had paid for. they said we we had good protection from rain with the underlayment on , we were not in contact with him again until after a torencial rain we had on the night of the 17th of that month at that time we could hear water running down inside the walls of the rear of our home . i called all the numbers i had for him then at 08:45 am the morning of the 18th of june 2012 describing our problems of the night before.( could only leave messages). at that time we had to go for dr. appointments , on going past the front of the house i looked up an saw raw wood showing on the roof. i got a ladder and went up and found he hadnt put on the quality underlayment i had paid for . what he used was peices of the old 15# felt we had used years ago and it had srunk to the point where all the nails were torn out of it and the paper only partially covered the roof before the srinkage. we had another down pour that day. and we finally had to hire a different contractor to put tarps on at a cost of 1400.00 plus. we sued and got a judgement aginst him but it carries no value if he has nothing . i guess we will find that out soon! note his wv contractors lisence number is WVO49357 whatever good that is ?

Description of Work: Replaced a roof. Overly new shingles on to old roof. We called to have a leak fixed, come to find out the shingles on our roof had been recalled and we involved in a large class action lawsuit. the company did not what to have to pay so we were going to have to file a claim. But no matter the roof still needed to be replaced. So he overlayed new roof over the old.
