Freed's is my "happy place." The plants are top quality at a reasonable price. And they have everything - much like the nurseries you'd find in a larger city. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Last spring I wanted to put in a small blue/purple perennial garden. The staff at Freed's helped me pick out plants that were right for my full/partial shade spot. They could even tell me what the deer would probably not nibble on (there is no such thing as deer-proof). The garden was beautiful the first summer. We had a miserable winter with many blasts of arctic cold, which is unusual for this area. I was sure I had lost my garden. To my surprise, only one plant - that I snuck in last fall - didn't come back. And, as a special treat, my peony tree - which wasn't supposed to bloom for at least another year - treated me with a huge, gorgeous bloom this week. I just got back from Freed's where I bought my season's annuals. It's going to be another beautiful year in my yard - thanks to Freed's nursery.
