"We, at Green Valley Animal Hospital, extend our profound sympathy to the owner for the loss of Max. He was a 10 year old German Shepherd, who had a previous history of seizures and was prescribed medication for seizures in 2009. In 2012, Max came to our hospital for lameness. The owner had related that they had a difficult time giving Max medication in the past. Radiographs were recommended due to the chronicity of lameness. No problem involving bone was noted. We had kept him overnight to monitor him and administer pain medication. Max recovered uneventfully from anesthesia and left the clinic acting well. We offered our deepest sympathy in the loss of their pet. As a veterinary clinic and animal lovers, we know how deeply owners love their pets. It is a sad day at our clinic, too, when an animal passes. We strive to do our best to make pets well and keep them healthy. At the same time, even when we lose a pet, we still incur the cost of medicines, procedures, and other medical necessities associated with treating the pet. We wish we could tell owners that because their pet died, we will not make them responsible for the fees, but we cannot operate a veterinary clinic with that policy. We wish all pets could live longer, however as humans, sadly we cannot control all things. Again, we do share in the loss of Max as he was a really sweet dog. Green Valley Animal Hospital"
