My sister was visiting from St. Louis, her Scottish Terrier is receiving chemotherapy, she had to have blood work to make sure all her levels were in check. Dr Dorsey and the Raleigh County Animal Hospital was able to provide this service. We received a professional exam and fast results. Dr. Dorsey called us Saturday and reviewed the results, provided the information to our vet in St. Louis as well as provided me with a copy. Alexa was in good hands with Dr. Dorsey.

Dr Ben is very caring and knowledgeable and the pricing is fair and reasonable. I've been taking my pets to the Raleigh County Animal Hospital for over 20 years, receiving great care from both the father and now the son. The prompt emergency care I received last labor day when my dachshund became paralyzed in her back legs saved her life.

I brought in 8 of my 9 cats for worm shots and rabies vaccinations. Dr. Dorsey was very patient and thorough with each animal. He even wrote their names on the syringes to ensure he gave the right dosage to the right cat!

Dogs were happy when I returned. Seemed to be treated just fine! I will use them again!

I took my dog in to get spayed. She was received punctually, but the veterinarian did not talk much. I called later in the day to see how my dog was after the surgery and to enquire of the skin condition treatment. I talked directly to the vet which was nice. He told me she came through surgery well and that she had a bacterial staph infection causing her skin issues. We discussed the price of the medicine which was very expensive but I went ahead because she needed the treatment. I picked her up the next day and she recovered very well from the surgery. I administered the $96 medicine properly and after the medicine was finished, the condition came back. I called and spoke with the veterinarian again. He said she needed the medicine for longer. He said he was not even sure the first perscription was enough but kept it at a two week supply because of the cost. My problem is that he never advised me about his decision. He never asked if I wanted to go ahead and get another week or two of the medication. Basically, I wasted $96 on medication because it was an insufficient amount and that upset me. I was unhappy with the vet's bedside manner, he seemed unwilling to correspond and just in a hurry. I proceeded to another vet to have my dog treated again.
