The whole project was completed in one day. Matt didn’t take any breaks and worked over 8 hours. He also graciously painted 3 walls in our family room for my husband.

I will tell you he is excellent.  He is just a wonderful young man.  I cannot praise him enough.  He did a wonderful job.  He's a good christian boy.  I could not be happier.  He is five stars.

Matt responded quickly each time I contacted him about the job. He arrived when he said he would and completed the job earlier than
expected thanks to good weather along with being an experienced painter. He was willing to do a few extras and wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied when they finished. We couldn't be more pleased with his work ethic and professionalism. We would definitely contact him in the future.

Cahill painting, in my opinion, did an average job painting the walls but did a horrible job in painting the kitchen cabinets. He was asked to fix them, but when he did, he tried to repair them in one day.  The problem was is that the cabinets required several coats of paint and several coats of polyurethane.  He sanded the areas on the cabinets and touched up with paint. Now you can see where there is no polyurethane where he touched up and also he failed to wipe the sanded material off one, and the finish, I believe, is all messed up.  My husband mentioned,it appeared, that the color didn't seem to match what was on there, and he told my husband the colors will once they are dry. (so we waited for them to dry)  We sent him numerous texts, telephone messages, emails and then finally sent a certified letter. The post office tried for several weeks to deliver the letter but the letter remained unclaimed, and was returned to us indicating that he refused to claim the letter.
Mr. Cahill was very pleasant at first but it was obvious he was in a hurry.  Because he was in a hurry, some of his work, in my opinion, was sloppy and unprofessional.  When he presented us with the bill, it was handwritten on an envelope.  He realized he had forgotten to add the paint and a few supplies in his total, and gave me the receipts but I was unaware that he didn't have the approximately $300.00 added in to the  total.  He sent me a text stating the check was made out incorrectly. Before I could mail out the additional check to cover the supplies (we were waiting for the cabinets to dry) we noticed that the cabinets were still not right.  I told him I would be happy to send him the additional check, but he needed to fix the cabinets first/again.  He totally blew us off.  For those that would like to see a representation of his work, I would be happy to supply you with the pictures  we took of our cabinets.  Again, I thought,  totally unprofessional.  Not only did we have issues with the paint, but he installed the hardware with the incorrect screws (they were too short and some ended up stripping)  and permanently fixed a false drawer off center,  (cannot get to it, the sink we installed is too deep, can't get past the false drawer now) which again, was very unprofessional.
I had someone come in to look at the cabinets.  I was told he felt it really needed to be refinished again to make it right.  My husband and I are beside ourselves.. I don't want to go through removing everything out of the cabinets again.  I only hope that this review will make someone think twice about hiring him.  We hired him because he had an A on Angie's List. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how he received that grade. 

Matt and his helper moved all the furniture themselves. We only had to remove nick nacks and empty the china cabinet. They removed the pictures, outlet covers, etc. and replaced everything back. I liked the fact that they worked one section at a time so that our lives weren't so disrupted during the project. Matt was very professional, pleasant, and easy to work with.

Matt gave us an estimate the day we called inquiring about his services. He was professional and gave a reasonable estimate. The work was impeccable and he recommended the same brand of paint that we love. We will be using his services again soon.

Matt came to the house within a couple of days of first contacting him and he provided me with a free estimate for painting the interior of my house. The estimate was very detailed and and easy to understand. He was able to start my project very quickly due to a cancellation. He kept me updated on everything with texts and pictures and called me when there was a question. He painting 6 ceilings, 3 bedrooms, a dining room, living room, stairway and hallway. The work took about 5 days. The house looks amazing and when he finished the house nice and clean. I would definitely use Cahill painting again! Great work!

Matt was very responsive in setting up the appointment and giving us the estimate. He is extremely reasonable with his labor and supply costs. We were very pleased with his timeliness in completing the job. Unlike others who tend to drag it out. He worked in a clean and professiomal manner. The overall painting looks awesome!! Definitely would hire him again!

Very gracious, professional, and friendly

The owner (Matt Cahill) and his assistant arrived punctually on the date/time scheduled.  They checked in with us and proceeded to commence work.  One person pressure washed trim on the back of the house while the other commenced painting areas on the other side of the house that did not require pressure washing.  They carefully worked around all gardens and bushes (they had to trim a couple which was done very carefully.).  They repaired and primed/sealed several gutters which were also painted.   At their suggestion, an additive was used to r***** mold growth (a problem with the previous paint job).  For the most part, each of them worked independently except when moving ladders or working in an area (e.g., overhangs or on the roof) where spotting each other was a prudent safety approach.  They were very professional and personable, and offered suggestions regarding what did/did not need to be done, but stayed focused on getting the job done.   The workspace was cleaned up at the end of each day, and they came and left exactly when they said they would. They did not sacrifice quality for speed, and completed the job in 2 days, as Matt had said they would.  The end result is first rate, and far superior to the last painters I had.  About 1/2 gallon of unused paint remained, which I was happy to retain for future touch-up, if needed.  When he was through, Matt Cahill said to contact him if there were any questions or problems with the work they had performed.

Cahill Paint Company did a very professional job using quality materials at a reasonable price.  I would highly recommend them.

Carolyn was out to my house the same week I called about an estimate.  Within 2 days after coming out to the house, Carolyne had an estimate for the job including when she could schedule the job.  The price was in the ballpark, I didn't wait for other estimates since she could schedule me in then next couple of weeks. 
Their work was very professional, they arrived on schedule,  made sure the floors were well protected and did a first rate paint job.
I would definitely hire them again.

Perfection! Our house looks brand new now and all for such an amazing price. Matt even took and stripped and repainted our antique vent. Honestly I couldn't have imagined it would turn out this good. We used Matt for exterior paint before so we knew he would do great work on our interior. It's all so beautiful! It wasn't just paint, it was a miracle for our old house.

Things went great. Our home was built in 1927 and probably hadn't been painted since 1990. There were a lot of rotting wood shingles, and the columns on the porch were in terrible condition. He repaired all of those things. The before & after is amazing. We are also having them do some work on the interior of our home this week. You really can't beat their pricing, plus I am a pain when it comes to making sure things look perfect & he did great with dealing with my pickiness.
The only problem we had was with an awning we had removed. We were told they could remove it & replace the siding (I asked if he knew someone who could do it before they started painting, he said they could). Well, they couldn't find siding to match what we had (old aluminum siding on the first floor level of our home). We didn't find this out until after the awning was already gone. He did however try to find someone to do the repair for us, but that was not successful. That is my only complaint as we still haven't found anyone to take the job. However he did his best to remedy the situation & the rest of the house looks so great that we are more than comfortable using this company in the future.
I am looking forward to seeing how great our interior paint job looks!

Matt responded to my call promptly.  I explained our situation and he gave us an estimate within 24 hours.  Time was of the essence and Matt completed our project quickly.  I was very pleased with his work ethic and professionalism.  I would absolutely recommend Matt Cahill  without hesitation and we would most certainly hire him again.

I am very impressed at how easily they met my needs!  My husband and I had purchased a pressure washer when we first moved into our home in December 2012.  We were able to reach the common areas, however our home is extremely tall on one side.  We were having difficulty finding a company that was just interested in a 'small job' which inspired me to join Angie's List in the first place.  As a member, I found Cahills Painting and to my surprise, not only were they willing to meet my needs, they were also willing to fit me in prior to our annual family cookout (which no other company would even consider).  The pressured washed the tall side and places we couldn't get ourselves.  In the future, they will be the first ones I call if I ever have additional needs, including painting!  I have a feeling my livingroom will need a facelift soon....  Thanks Cahills!

They came two days later which was much sooner than I thought it would happen as I was not moving until the first of June and told him he had some time.  He called me over that weekend and said they would be here on Monday of that next week.  He told me he wanted to get it done so I could see it before I went back to CA.  They arrived at 7:00 AM on that Monday as they said and went to work.  The crew worked all day and finished the job that evening.  I did not see it until the next morning.  When I opened the door and came in I was overwhelmed as to how beautiful it looked and was so impressed with his suggestions for the accent walls.  It looked beautiful and they did an outstanding job.  They cleaned up everything before leaving and put the excess paint away neatly in the garage.  I was so impressed.  He left a card on my table saying Thank You for my business and asked if I was unsatisfied with anything to please call and he would be back promptly to correct anything.  Obviously I did not need to make any calls.
If you need painting done in your home, I highly recommend Cahill Painting Company for the job.  They are professional, trustworthy and stand by their work.  This is an outstanding company.  My home looks beautiful and many of my friends asked who did the painting and have taken his number to call him for jobs in their homes. 
Matt Cahill is a person of very high morals and believes in helping people.  Call him and I believe you will be as impressed as I was.
