A bedroom ceiling fan stopped working even though I had a new remote control installed in it less than a year ago. I replaced the battery in the handheld control but that did not resolve the problem. I called Faith Electrical Service LLC on Thursday, June 5 and spoke with Stevie Thaxton, who said he would call me back to set up a time to evaluate the situation. I received a call back from him on Sunday, June 8, letting me know that he would be out the next morning. He arrived promptly with his helper. The fan is suspended from a cathedral ceiling so it is not easy to access the wiring at a height of about 14 feet. Stevie and his helper had a tall enough ladder with them, so they were able to access the wiring and found that the remote box was defective. Rather than replace the remote again, I chose to have the fan operate with the pull chains only. They removed the remote, reattached the fan to the ceiling and double checked to see that it was operating correctly. I also had a light switch in another room that tripped it's circuit breaker when it was turned on. Stevie checked that out and corrected the problem within about 10 minutes. He also attached the face to the main breaker box which had been removed previously and not reattached. I am very pleased with the knowledge, professionalism and quality of their work. I will call them again if I am in need of electrical assistance.
