The old shingles were removed and replaced in a timely and professional fashion. He also assisted us in filing a claim for recovery from the manufacturer. We are happy with the job and would recommend this company for any roofing service needed.

Very well. He responded quickly, got the job done within two weeks, cleaned up after themselves all at a very competitive price.

Can't say enough good things about Ken and his team. In addition to being experienced, Ken and team are professional, honest, communicative and courteous. The job was done promptly (a quick 3 days). And Ken's team gets extra points for meticulous cleanup of the site which is so important for a roofing job. I wish all our contractor experiences were as satisfying as this was.

Called Ken for an estimate to replace our cabin and garage roofs. He returned my call as soon as he could as he was unable to answer my call because he was out on another job. He checked out our roof within a few days and called us immediately with an estimate. He told us where to check out the shingle colors on-line if we decided to go with his estimate.
After we made our decision, he ordered the shingles immediately and his crew began to reroof our property. We were very pleased with the job that they did. We would recommend him to anyone looking to have roofing done in a timely and efficient manner.
Very easy to communicate with Ken. He kept us informed about the progress and any problems that came up and the estimate was the final amount that we paid. Living 300 miles away is always a challenge when having work done up north. Ken is definitely an honest professional and skilled contractor.

He was very nice, came to the house with samples and measured the area.  He gave me a quote on the phone for materials and labor.  When I said I wanted a different kind of shingles than those he recommended, he was helpful with pros and cons of the shingles I was considering.  Then I asked whether I could purchase the materials myself, as I thought I would charge them to my card.  He was helpful, gave me a list of the materials needed.  Well I couldn't figure out half of it, so he went to the store and had a quote made up for me.  I purchased the materials direct from the store, so the price of $3000 is labor only.  His quote for materials was very close to what I paid, I only went that way for my own reasons.
The crew was quiet, friendly and worked with no problems.  They put down tarps and left no mess.  I have several skylights and they did a beautiful job around them as well.  They started on Thursday,  and worked Friday.  Then the weekend came, then Monday it poured, so it was finally finished on Wednesday.  It took a bit longer than expected, but the results are great!  I love the new roof.

UPDATE:  Spring of the following year there was leakage by the largest skylight.  I called him in a panic and he said he would be over to fix it when it wasn't raining.  He thought it was probably just a fold in the ice dam material.  He told me he would just come and fix it one day and then call to let me know he had done it.  It was a rainy spring, and I wasn't too concerned when I never heard back from him.  I left a message a couple months ago, and he did call back, but didn't have a time frame when he would get to it. However, it is now July, and I have not heard from Ken that he is planning to come fix it.  In the meantime, I have sold my house and I need this corrected before closing.  I left him another message today, and hope that he responds.

I had never met Ken, only by phone contact. He was very prompt, and professional. He gave me a website to pick out shingles, kept me updated on when he would do the work and was very honest. As far as I know, he cleaned up and disposed of the old shingles. We have a caretaker that would have informed me if anything wasn't done properly and we were very satisfied with the work. Ken's price was very reasonable, but we had a slight problem with his quote. He offered to honor the contract, but I didn't think that would be fair (even with the error, his bid was still very reasonable), and we settled on paying for the extra materials, which was more than fair.....thanks Ken. I would highly recommend him and would use him again.

We own a cabin in Eagle River. The roof needed replacing and we were not able to be around when it was done. We were concerned about the quality of the job that would be done when we were not there, at all, to and quot;superviseand quot; or keep an eye on things. We used to live in Eagle River and knew we needed to pick carefully, but even having lived there, we'd never needed a roof replaced and none of our friends who still lived there could provide recommendations! We picked Ken based on other reviews here in Angie's list.
We signed a contract in early fall. He was backed up and let us know it would be awhile. He kept us updated. He always called us back promptly when we called to leave a message.
What can we say? The job got done and except for the new roof, we couldn't tell they had been there. No garbage laying around, no trampled shrubs, nothing. The roof looks great and we are pleased.

Excellent! Always on time. Professional crew worked very hard. Very pleased with the completed roof. He even did our small wood shed with the left over shingles!

Ken is a very high quality contractor: He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, at the agreed upon price, and with excellent workmanship. He was on site everyday and his crew was capable and courteous I have hired many contractors over the years to repair/remodel my home and my investment properties. I have seen the full gamut, from very bad to very good. Ken is at the far edge of the very good. I recommend him without hesitation.

Took roughly a week for an estimate. No problem. 3-4 weeks to start it?. Again no problem Two days to complete with a three man crew plus Ken.
Ken is very, very easy to deal with. He was onsite over 50% of the time working and overseeing the project. Ken was definitely in charge. He knew his stuff without question.
There were several minor issues with the roof once they started removing the shingles that Ken knew how to handle.
Only estimate I received was Ken's but I knew it was in the ballpark and it was clear at that time that Ken knew his stuff.
One observation and not a complaint. You're more than likely going to go to voicemail. It appears he has times when he returns your call. If you were on a roof would you keep your phone, pencil and paper with you? I sure wouldn't

Ken and his crew were on time and did an excellent job of replacing the roof on our old rental house. This contractor is trustworthy and a straight shooter. We have used Ken's services in the past at another property and highly recommend him.

It went great. What especially impressed us was how quickly he was able to check out our place, give us a quote and get the job done. As you probably remember the winter of 2013 in the North woods lasted until mid May and then there was a lot of nasty rainy weather. Ken had a lot of other jobs already on his 2013 schedule and all the schedules were behind because of the crazy winter we had. Despite that, he got our work done very quickly and we are so appreciative of that. The cost came in at the quoted rate, the roof looks great, no longer leaks and his crew cleaned up nicely after they were done. I had offered to pay him for the materials in advance, but he told me that was not needed. My wife and I were very impressed with all aspect's of Ken's work.

Ken and his crew arrived when they said they would, worked diligently and efficiently and finished the job in 8 hours. They did an adequate job of cleaning up and the roof looks great. My only criticism is that the guys had the volume on their boom box way too loud.

Everything went just fine. They arrived on time and finished the job quickly and professionally.
