Outstanding service! They came out on the day I called and had a new furnace installed less than 48 hours later. Punctual with appointments and explained it all to me. Really appreciate Dennis, Derek and Jeremy. Super helpful, friendly, know their stuff, and very reasonably priced. HIGHLY recommend High Tech! Thanks guys!

They did a good job. They came out and cleaned it all and I was impressed with them.  The guy was very punctual and he was very nice.  He explained everything to us about how to take care of our air-conditioner and that was a problem as we weren’t taking care of it properly.  He cleaned the coils for us.  They charged us very fairly for what they did.  They told us how to maintain the air conditioner so this didn’t happen again for us.  We were really happy with them.

They arrived around 8-8:30 in the morning and removed the old furnace, ran the new gas line, and installed the new furnace.  The work was completed around 3:30 in the afternoon. They did not turn on the new furnace because they said the propone tank was empty. They said that once the propane tank was filled all I had to do was turn on the furnace.
That evening I cleaned up the laundry room where the furnace is located noticed that there were 2 large scratches on the top of my brand new wash machine where they had set tools. They also left soda cans, wall insulation on the floor, and had taken my clip on utility light that I had turned on so the back corner  of the laundry room had more light for them to work on. (To date they have not returned the light though they said they would and had taken it by accident)
The propane truck came the next morning and informed me that the tank was low but not empty, so the furnace could have been tested by high tech the day before.  The gas line regulator was installed upside down so when the gas line was turned on it leaked. I called High Tech, and he said he would have someone come in the afternoon. He came and changed the regulator. The propane truck came back that same afternoon and then discovered that the gas line was illegally ran thru the interior of our house along the ceiling in the basement. The propane man was helpful and unhocked the illegally ran gas line and set up a temporary hose from the propane tank to the exterior gas regulator that then goes inside to the house. Because we are in Wisconsin, they could not trench the gas line until spring when the ground thaws. The Propane man then pressure tested everything and made sure that the furnace would turn on.
I had my husband talk to High tech. High tech claimed they did not know you couldn't run a gas line thru the interior of the house and said to take the cost of the copper line and 1 hour of labor off of the price. (approximately $200) He did now know when they would be able to come take the now unhooked gas line down. To date they have not called or come to take the copper line down.
My husband took the copper line down and filled in the holes that they drilled thru the siding to run the line.
Just a side note on the service, while running the illegal gas line thru the basement, High tech also knocked down a number of items on my work bench including small hing pieces and hardware I had just painted for a project. They were scattered on the floor. If anything had been in the way, I was in my home office and they could have asked me to move things.
I was very dissappointed with the work and it still makes my stomach crawl. I would never hire them again and hope nobody else has to deal with this. We were lucky that we had a back up heat source. We have a wood burner and had enough wood to heat the house for the time that we were without heat. One of these days I will just stop at his house and demand my light back!

I was taken advantage of and would never call these people again!!!!

In response to HIGH-TECH's reply, they never contacted me regarding this until I contacted Angie's list, unless you call sending me a invoice them contacting me.  By their reply I now understand how the real world of HIGH TECH-HVAC handles their complaints.

There is a sticker clearly affixed to my furnace which states I have a warranty for parts and labor for 10 years on my furnace from 2007 to 2017.  This sticker was about 10" away from the area where he performed the work.   I had no idea they were not certified to work on a Trane furnace.  Had they even once mentioned that, I would have told them to stop all repairs and I would call my furnace provider.  I guess I am pretty stupid for thinking this company would be honest enough to tell me I could save myself $275 if I call my furnace installer to have them complete the repairs.  He never told me he can only be reimbursed for parts until after I checked further with my furnace provider and found out he was not certified to work on a Trane furnace.  This all happened after he had already completed the work.   GUY FINK, PRESIDENT OF HIGH TECH-HVAC  handled this matter in a  VERY UNPROFESSIONAL way and I will not be calling him again for  ANY service.
Response from High Tech-Hvac Co
"We talked with her trying to explain how the heating & cooling warranties are in the real world. She did not seem to agree or understand. So Guy did send her a letter explaining what we tried to do, This has never happened to us in 15 years. These companies may at times offer a longer or extended warranty Other then the manufacturers 1 year or 5 year parts warranty. Our manufacturer for the last 4 years has offered a 5 year warranty, BUT if you register on line with that manufacturer, they will extend it another 5 years. As we also stated, we are all able to work on every make & model/brand & be reimbursed for ONLY the parts. The standard manufacturers warranties were for 1 year parts, & I know there have been some exceptions to that rule now, but I don’t think anyone had it in 2006, If they put an additional labor warranty on it, & that contract states that All parts & labor are covered for 10 years, & ONLY a Trane Dealer may perform the work, & I’m not sure they would cover it, because the outside unit is a not a Trane? So, who is at fault for NOT Knowing or reading what their warranty is? Who is at fault for not Presenting FIRST the labor contract? Who is at fault…she is. These are all gray area’s, But we are surely not responsible to go check every ones warranty papers! (She should have told us, what her warranty was if she was so smart.) We did all we could for this lady. Her unit was not working that we installed & we fixed it, She had a problem with the TXV valve on a trane A-coil, we fixed it. Finding leaks on AC systems is a time consuming process, & are almost impossible to find, it could be the outside condenser, the line coming in, a weld joint, or the TXV valve working then not working & you may not catch it doing it when you’re there one time. Maybe we should blame Trane for producing faulty products. This lady should have known what warranties she bought. There are only a few Nation wide Warranty Companies. We have used 2, In those warranties, all the customer has to do is call in for approval/repair & any company can repair it, & they will receive the part/labor or what ever. Maybe the Trane installers should have explained this better to her, seems like a Scam of a warranty to me. She has even neglected to have her AC unit checked annually in 5 years, for her manufacturers warranties, so that could be VOIDED. I think she owes us an apology for saying the things she said, now she is trashing my company & wanting you to trash us as well. Ignorance is no excuse, & mouthing off with out the facts & mentioning a company is Very Dangerous, illegal, & for this nothing else will be done. Sincerely, Dennis Fink, President,"
