Cottage Grove Nursery & Gift

We were favorably impressed with the results; will probably hire them in spring 2015.

They gave us a landscaping recommendation with landscaping layout.  We did not complete the landscaping yet.

We were very satisfied with the overall job.  I contacted Cottage Grove Nursery some time in July and within a couple of days
Jane (the designer) came out and discussed a new plan.  Our overgrown lilac bush and hostas had become unsightly, so
we wanted something neater and with  low maintenance.  I did mention we would like the work done sometime in Sept.  On
Sept. 10th Mark (the landscaper)  and his assistant began work around 8:00.  They worked all day completing everything except
two of the flagstones which were put in a couple of days later.  They did such a wonderful job, no one would be able to tell
they had dug up old plants and replaced them.  The carmelized rocks we have (which are light) are still clean  and don't
look like they've been disturbed at all.  All old plants were cleaned up and hauled away.  Mark was very friendly and professional
when he came to the door in the morning.  He checked in several times during the day either to let me know they were taking
a quick break or grabbing lunch (never gone very long), he also came to the door to explain what he was doing during
the day.  At the end of the day, he took time to tell me how to care for the plants not only initially, but in the future.  I also,asked
his professional advice on a couple of existing plants and he was very willing to answer my questions.
I did not feel Jane (the designer) tried to sell me more than what I needed.  I was very willing  to buy more plants, but
she felt these 7 new plants would be plenty.  Also, we had been quoted for more rock, but Mark said he was pretty sure
we didn't need it and we didn't.  It all looks great! 
We ended up paying about $90 less because we didn't need to add rock, however, it had been included in the estimate in case.
Jane told me the total might be less when the job was done (which it was), but it wouldn't be more.  I appreciated that--no hidden
costs!  We would definitely use Cottage Grove again.  Also, they have a great gift shop.
