We received an estimate from Craftsmen for both siding and some replacement windows. The actual service performed was for vinyl siding to replace our aluminum siding. We initially thought the work was fine, until a bit later. We had our first rain storm and water came pouring down our kitchen and living room walls (literally bucket fulls). We assumed it was a roof issue and had 3 firms come over. All three indicated the roof was fine, but that when the siding was put on it wasn't done correctly around the windows (no drip caps were used), which allowed the water to run directly behind the siding and into our home. They did come back to fix the windows, flashing, and sealant, but refused to pay for the water damage to our walls, ceiling, etc. Shortly after this (while still trying to have them remedy the window damage), the siding on one side of our home blew off in mild 30 mph winds. Due to lack of remedy (they accused the manufacturer and told us they were not at fault), we were forced to hire a professional inspector, who indicated that the nails used in the siding were too short and it only went into the insulation, not the actual studs. Even with this report provided, the only response was that we would have to go through a lawsuit to get anywhere. We ended up having to go through a full lawsuit, at which point we found out that they had actually subcontracted to another firm (during our initial interview of them, the owner stated several times that he solely uses only his own employees), and that they countersued this firm. While trying to settle, they threatened that they would not be able to pay for fully fixing the issues (the job had to be completely removed as it was already coming loose), and that they would bankrupt and we would receive nothing. We were not able to get our full amount back to fix everything, and had to pay for portions of it ourselves. We've lucked out with all our prior contractors, etc., but this was the most horrible experience I could imagine having. I couldn't in good conscience recommend this firm to anyone. I believe they're one of the most unethical and poor quality contractors out there, and would stay far away from them. I strongly suggest checking them out legally first - we found out too late that we weren't the only ones in a lawsuit with them!

They were punctual and did a good job. They were neat and clean. They were pleasant to work with. I would go back to them again with trust to have a similar job done.

They put new siding on both sides of our condo as well as installed 2 new windows and a sliding glass door. We had to call them back to repair a couple of problems but he was considerate enough to come right out and fix them. He was a little cheaper than all of the other estimate I received. They were good about returning my calls and showing up everyday and I would definitely use them again.
