In The Nick of Time Moving

Can't say enough great things about Nick and his Team! They were super helpful and professional helping get an +1500lb safe (Liberty Presidential 50) moved from one state to another on relatively quick turnaround at a very reasonable cost. They took extra special care at both the pick up and drop off as to not damage anything and did everything they could to position it and set it up the way I wanted it upon delivery. Nick even took the time to walk me through the features of the safe including how to work the combination and lock. Great guys and great service, just go with them and don't waste time looking around for other movers because these guys are it!

2 movers were assigned to the job. Both showed up early which was great. However, only one seemed to keep busy moving things all the time while one guy was prone to standing in the truck waiting around quite a bit. I had to mention to him that there was more boxes etc to move or essentially babysit him for awhile. I should note that I was also busy during this time trying to finalize things at both locations so I couldn't watch everything they were doing. By the time they left however, I noticed that they only used maybe 10 of the 30 furniture pads I had provided. This later proved problematic as I noticed small cosmetic damage on many items of furniture. Because all the furniture was in storage prior and I hired them through a third party I was unable to get reimbursed. I needed pictures of the furniture pre-damage which I didn't have (since everything had been in storage for 2 years but moved there by very reputable professionals) The damage was not significant enough to fight with the contract company over and I could repair it on my own but please beware if using this company. Takeaway points : You may need to babysit one or more of the crew to make sure they stay on task Make sure the crew uses the tools provided or that they brought such as furniture pads to excess or you will regret it Take photos of all your furniture if you can prior to them moving anything for claims

Before doing anything, they came inside to size-up the job.

The safe was out of the basement and on the truck within 30 minutes.

In Milwaukee, they came in to size-up the job in the basement, and a few minutes later the safe was in place ... exactly where they were asked to place it.

These people used specialized equipment that allowed them to navigate this heavy safe through the doorways of my property with relative ease. There were NO scratches, or scrapes on any of the floors, walls or wood work. And there was NO damage to the carpeting on my basement stairs.

They charged $375 for a basement to basement move, plus $1.00 per mile for the truck. My total cost was $400.00

This is the second time that I used this company. The first move was from the Gander Mountain store in Germantown, WI to my former residence in East Troy. They provided the same level of professional know how on my first move as they did on the second move. I'd hire them again in "A New York Minute". 

For what it's worth, they offer themselves as "full service" movers. We were not aware of this when we moved our furniture and personal belongings. If and when we move again, In The Nick of Time will be on our short list of movers.
