The work was quoted quickly but started only 3+ months later. After the start, it dragged another 2 months as special attention to the project wasn't given and as appeared it was treated as secondary vs. other company's projects/priorities. Perhaps, it was due to poor time management. It is true that the selected mason at the start didn't applied a brick joint compound of a correct/matching color, which caused some of the delay to fix, but the rest of the job, except the column repair was moving very slowly.
I have to add that the company was selected based on previous job they did - bay window roof repair, which was done very well, but the last job, unfortunately, made me change my opinion about the company.

After moving into a house with a tile roof and copper gutters, we discovered that a gutter was overflowing so water was pouring along the foundation. There were also a few places where it was clear that sections of gutter were beginning to deteriorate and needed repair or replacement. After calling several roof and gutter repair companies, I found the website for ALS and gave them a call. Tracey called back almost immediately and we set up a time for him to stop by and provide an estimate. He arrived as scheduled and spent a good amount of time going over the roof, gutters, and explaining features that were in good condition or in need of repair. He explained that whenever possible, he would try to make repairs on the gutters rather than resort to outright replacement, which saves a good amount of money and, if done right, the repairs should last just as long as a new gutter.
He sent an estimate a few days later. I usually try to follow the rule of getting three estimates but could not get two additional ones--the companies either didn't show up or wouldn't return calls. From conversations with the previous homeowner, I determined that Tracey's estimate was very reasonable. Because I felt confident in the explanation of the work and the pricing seemed appropriate, we agreed to have the work done, signed the proposal, and submitted a deposit for materials.
Work started as scheduled and proceeded in a timely manner. During the process of doing the gutter repair, portions of the tile roof had to be removed to gain access to the gutter hardware. After removing the tile portions, it was clear that several portions of felt needed to be replaced to prevent leaks, some wood repaired, and so on. Further, the copper chimney flashing, which we originally hoped to repair, could not be fixed. When these issues were identified, Tracey explained the situation, provided photos to illustrate (I could have gone up on the scaffolding, if preferred, but the photos were fine for me), and detailed the repairs that were needed. He then documented the change with appropriate change of work orders so we would know the exact charges and keep an eye on our budget.
All of the work was done professionally and we are very happy with the way that things turned out. There were not any problems with scheduling and all of our questions were answered. All of the work and pricing were discussed very openly--I always felt like I understood the work that was being done and why. Tracey was very good about keeping us informed about the expenses and the progress that was being made. I can definitely recommend ALS.
