Do NOT use these guys!! Not only did they overcharge me, but they also made a HUGE mess. The first guy that came out, worked for an hour (not sure what he did) and then told me he couldn’t clear the blockage. I let him know that I assumed he would be cleaning up the mess he made, and he told me the next guys would. He charged me $400 and then had a second group of guys show up to use a high-pressure hose to clear it. Instead of covering the main basement drain with an upside-down garbage can or something, which is what anyone with common sense would've done, they blasted high pressure water into the main line without anything covering the drain. The water, of course, backed up and caused a blast and subsequential flooding of sewage everywhere. As if that wasn’t enough, they repeatedly walked up and down my basement stairs to the back door in my kitchen without covering or changing their boots, so not only did I have sewage everywhere in my basement, but I also had a trail of it up my basement stairs, and through my kitchen! After that fiasco they wiped up an 18” radius area surrounding the drain (I swear they measured it, so it was exactly 18”) and said they were done. I told them I assumed that they’d be cleaning up their mess including the trail leading to the back door in my kitchen and one of the guys replied, “lady, we’re not a cleaning service and we’re only required to clean up 18” around the drain”. Unbelievable. I told them the previous guy told me they would be cleaning up the mess and then I immediately called their office to let them know the situation. They called one of the guys right after we hung up and they grabbed a bunch of rags from their truck and proceeded to somewhat wipe up the mess. It was a weak attempt, and they didn’t even touch the path up the stairs and through my kitchen. Two of the guys stood in the main area of my kitchen with sewage-drenched boots and waited for me to pay them. It cost me another $600 for their “service”. I could tell they were really pi$$ed that I had called their boss and I heard one mumble to the other “did you do it?” and the other guy responded, “yeah”. I’m not sure what they did, but I cannot get the smell out of my house! After they left, I wiped up what I could see and then proceeded to bleach the entire basement floor and anywhere else they had walked with their sewage-coated boots. To this day (it’s been around a year), it still smells like sewage. Not only in the basement, but throughout the house now and I can’t get rid of it. I am beyond angry and disgusted, and just want to let other people know about my experience, so they don’t have to go through what I did and deal with the smell afterwards.

Came out and roto rooted the sewer pipes but the next day my toilet and shower backed up again. So they came out again. Seemed okay but 2 weeks later it’s happening again. And I paid $700 and I’m now calling another plumber.

It took 3 hours and they charged me for work that didn’t salve the problem. The water level went down but was back up the next day. The guy had to call a supervisor because he was stumped.

We called them on Sunday, someone came out, looked around and said he couldnt do anything because we didnt have a clean out, and he left. He did tell us we needed to have someone cut the soil stack and put in a cleanout, but he couldnt do that. Total elapsed time was 10 minutes. Total charge was $425. I have called and tried to get a refund but all I got was "well we can give you back some of the money". I believed I had an oral agreement that for $425 for an hour plus $195 every additional hour we could get the problem fixed. Roto-rooter did not send me a real plumber to take care of the problem which is what is promised in their ads and then wont issue a refund on what is obviously a breached contract. And, BTW, I got somebody to come in the same day (Sunday), he installed the cleanout for $350 and reamed out the drain/tree roots for $160.

The technician showed up quickly and was able to clear the clog faster than the time it took him to drag the machine in .

I called Roto Rooter on the morning of Christmas Eve. I was told that plumber could come between 10:00 am and noon that day. I was also informed that holiday rates were in effect, and that the price would be a minim of $500, an additional $160 per hour if the service took more than hour. While the price was steep, I accepted it because the back-up needed to be addressed. A plumber arrived at our home 20 minutes later. Jason was very prompt and pleasant. He had the drain cleaned out in a little less than an hour. Service was great

The service was fine. He did a really good job and it took him about three to four hours. He spend extra time to be able to take care of the problem. I would say they do excellent work, they explain everything really well and considering the cost of everything, I did get a great deal. He left me a reminder so that I know when to call them back.

The drains were cleaned well, but it was more expensive than I thought it would be. I had had a plumber come in a few months before and it cost less. I thought a company that specialized in this would be less expensive.

When the technician realized a separate plumber was needed, he gave us several recommendations and came back to finish his work as soon as the plumber finished. He made what could have been a really unpleasant situation something that was resolved within a few hours.

They were very helpful because they actually checked out some other things and gave me some good advice and pointed some good things about the drainage. It's very good. They went above and beyond. He really didn't do a whole lot with the tub. He looked at a few more things and gave me some pointers and that was it. I ended up buying something else from him but as far as the services, I was not charged. They were very reasonable.

I had them clear out a plug for a slow drain and snake out a line. Just one technician came out and it took him roughly an hour to do this work. They broke a line and did not take accountability for that. They were too aggressive and it cost me another plumber having to come out to fix that, with an additional charge.

The plumber has on time and they charged the $300 I was quoted.
The problem lies in the fact that two weeks later I do my dishes and once again have a tub full of sewer water. When I called to see if they would come back out and finish or remediate the problem that obviously wasn't fixed they said no basically.
$300 was a lot of money to pay for an hour of work that was not apparently backed by a warranty or integrity.
I would strongly recommend using another plumber.

We have a regular with them named Kemp and he is one of the instructors who has been to our house multiple times.  The guy is just incredible.  He always does a great job.  He is very, very professional.  He always leaves the place cleaner than before.  He is the one who usually comes.  It is a 52 year old house and at times it is a challenge.  In April he came out in the middle of the night as we had a problem.  They value repeat business and they treat me that way.  A lot of time they come to my house when I am at my worst.  They have always been there.

I had a different plumbing company out previously who could not complete the job. I called Roto Rooter, whom I normally have. He said that they were going to have to charge me $380.00 just to come out and $185.00 an hour with a minimum of one hour for them to come out that night (it was a Friday). To make the cost lower, he said that he could come out the next day and they would just charge me the straight $185.00 an hour.

The next day, the guy came in. The best part was that he had been here before so I didn't have to tell him anything. He went about his work, and in less than an hour he was out the door. I really appreciated them telling me about that price difference and what my cheaper options were.

Would never use again! On a weekend (Saturday) we had a clogged toilet , and our kitchen sink backed up at the same time. Called Roto-Rooter to clear drains, I asked serviceman it the problem was related because it was a big coincidence that both drains clogged at the same time. He said no and removed toilet and cleared drain, and then we paid him to clear sink drain. Two days later the basement drain backed up, called Roto-Rooter back and explained problem, They claimed backup was unrelated (not true) and would not waive any fees to return to check out the problem. Also both the manager and first person who answered phone both were very rude.
